Zurmurwur is a character in Final Fantasy XIV.

    History

During the rite of succession, when Wuk Lamat visited Karryorzar the Gracious in search of the High Luminary Gurfurlur to perform the Feat of Proof. In the temple Luminary Zurmurwur recounted the story of how Gulool Ja Ja and his companions imprisoned the Skyruin 60 years ago. Zurmurwur also explained that the High Luminary was the elector chosen by the Dawnservant and that he was not present. Putting concerns of melting ice aside for now, Zurmurwur passes on instructions from High Luminary: the first challenge requires locate the elector himself, hidden as he is somewhere within Urqopacha's mountain range.[1]

While Gurfurlur and the claimants were in Worqor Zormor, another claimant, Bakool Ja Ja, visited the temple. Bakool Ja Ja explained that to melt the ice they had to cast two spells at the same time, and that the only ones who could do this were Gurfurlur's Heads of Reason and Resolve, and himself. Without giving Zurmurwur time to react, Bakool Ja Ja cast the spells and freed Valigarmanda from his prison.[2]

Upon returning to Worlar's Echo, they found the place in chaos. The Luminary Zurmurwur explained that one of the claimants, Bakool Ja Ja, had intentionally broken the Valigarmanda's seal. Gurfurlur and all those present made preparations to face the catastrophe before them.[3] Analyzing the aether trails of the Valigarmanda, Erenville determined that the Skyruin was heading towards Worqor Lar Dor. Wuk Lamat allied herself with Zoraal Ja and Koana's party to confront Skyruin. Upon their return, Gurfurlur revealed that they had plans for a second Feat, but that there was nothing left to prove, and he handed the keystone to the three Promises.[4]
