"Crystal Area"[derived from Japanese] is a theme from Kirby Super Star and Kirby Super Star Ultra.

"Crystal Area" is a heroic and adventurous theme in C major and 4/4. It can be considered a more solemn and slow-paced arrangement of "Green Greens". Besides march-like percussion, "Crystal Area" introduces its own musical element: a rising intervallic brass progression through C major with a B-flat major chord characteristic of C melodic major. This element plays after every phrase of the first section of "Green Greens", which itself has a steady tonic-dominant bassline here. The second section of "Green Greens" follows normally, and then these two parts repeat. After this, an arpeggio leads to a new melody in high registers, which follows the general rhythmical and melodic structure of "Peanut Plains" in C minor. Building up in a tense and unstable major, it reaches its climax with a glorious (and properly minor) quotation of "Kirby's Triumphant Return" and descending scales in the accompaniment. "Crystal Area" is the first variant of "Green Greens" to include "Kirby's Triumphant Return", and the two motifs would later be paired for subsequent arrangements of "Green Greens". "Kirby's Triumphant Return" plays out twice here and ends on a dominant suspense to make room for the return of major. C major's entrance is delayed by an A-flat major chord, rounding out the melodic major aspect. The new element from the intro continues from this point as the track loops.
The theme primarily plays in the Crystal and Garden areas from The Great Cave Offensive. It can be found in the Sound Tests of these games as track 37 in the original game and track 42 in the remake.
"Crystal Area" appears in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U as a part of the medley "The Great Cave Offensive", which plays in the eponymous stage. This version possesses more orchestrated instrumentation than the original. The medley returns in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, where it is now available to play on all Kirby stages.
In Kirby and the Rainbow Curse, the theme gains a faithful electric guitar remix in E major named "Deploy the Kirby Tank!" that predominantly plays in the scrolling section of the stage of the same name when Kirby acquires his Tank transformation.
In Kirby and the Forgotten Land – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Star-Crossed World, "Kirby of the Stars Interview", which is an arrangement of "Green Greens", includes compositional elements from "Crystal Area" with a portion based on "TWINKLING STAR SHOWERS"' chorus in the latter half. It is arranged by Yuki Shimooka, and can be found as track 143 at the Waddle Live! Corner Stage.
In Kirby Air Riders, a new arrangement of "Crystal Area" paired with "Sub-Tree Area" can be unlocked as the alternate track for Cavernous Corners. It is titled "Cavernous Corners (Alt)" / "The Great Cave Offensive" in the Music Player.
The Kirby Super Star version of the theme, under the title 洞窟大作戦 (The Great Cave Offensive), is the 13th track on The Very Best of Kirby: 52 Hit Tracks.
On the Kirby Ultra Super Deluxe Original Sound Track, the Kirby Super Star Ultra version of the theme is included as the 15th track.
"Crystal Area" is also featured as part of the "Kirby Super Star Medley" in the Kirby 25th Anniversary Orchestra Concert. The medley was arranged by Shogo Sakai, and conducted by Taizo Takemoto, being the 6th in the concert.
