"Wonder Space" is a theme created for Kirby and the Rainbow Curse, where it plays exclusively in the eponymous stage. Its composer is currently unknown.

Composition[edit]

The shifting rhythm fits the abstract and confusing environment.

"Wonder Space" is a mysterious theme primarily set in A that plays at roughly 84 BPM. Its focus on shifting rhythms suits the mysterious environment around it.

Its very first section incorporates a cue for strange circumstances from the Japanese version of Kirby: Right Back at Ya!, which first plays in Mumbies Madness. This passage is in no distinct key, consisting entirely of movement between two notes (first A and D-sharp, then A-sharp and E). After an interlude marks a transition to the A and B sections of the theme, the theme's key and accompaniment becomes more consistent and stable (A minor in the first, A melodic minor in the second), and the melody expands on the descents and rises of the aforementioned cue. The final section features a breakdown with frequent modulation, transitioning to the instability of the first section.

Game appearances[edit]

Kirby and the Rainbow Curse[edit]

In Kirby and the Rainbow Curse, "Wonder Space" plays throughout almost all of the eponymous stage, barring some areas (such as the windy corridor with Warpspaces). "Wonder Space Warped", a frantic, booming arrangement in A minor, plays in these areas. It is arranged in a symphonic style, and lacks the opening while introducing a unique B section. After defeating Dark Crafter, these can be selected in the Music Room as tracks 112 and 113, respectively.

Additionally, the very first section and interlude of "Wonder Space" are directly sampled in "Alone Again", which plays in the final area of Kirby + Kirby. Just like "Wonder Space" and "Wonder Space Warped", it is unlocked in the Music Room after defeating Dark Crafter, and is then selectable as track 111.
