"Ruins Area" is a theme from Kirby & The Amazing Mirror that plays in most areas of Radish Ruins.

Composition[edit]

Kirby encounters a certain difficulty spike.

"Ruins Area" is a resolute theme in D-flat/C-sharp Mixolydian and 4/4. It is percussive in nature, as it has a strong march-like ostinato on the tonic accentuated by a bass drum throughout the majority of the track. This rhythmical pattern is shared with "Flame/Lava Area". The melody starts with a bright trumpet-like timbre, circling in a pattern somewhat resemblant of "Forest Stage" while highlighting the aspects of Mixolydian mode. First heard solo, the melody gains a second part as harmonic support fifths and sixths apart. Following this is a higher-pitched variant of the melody based on its initial rising intonation. Like the original melody, it also gains a harmonic second part. The whole section repeats with an added quivering vibrato. The following second section sees a change in rhythm, which is also reflected in the percussion. This section's melody is a slowed down version of the first section's descending phrase. Unlike the previous section, here the harmonic support starts from the get-go. Loosening from this climax, the melody resolves upwards. The percussion returns to normal, signifying the track's loop point.
