"Battle Alone" is a theme that first appeared in Kirby and the Rainbow Curse.

Composition[edit]

Kirby Submarine has to battle alone.

"Battle Alone" is a bouncy and energic track in C minor. It starts with a short intro, and follows to quote the main melody of "Mid-Boss Battle" directly multiple times, though it soon transitions to an original melody, which can be split into two sections. The first section has a long phrase that is responded by a short phrase two times, with a last bar group resolving to a different phrase afterwards. This is repeated, and the last phrase resolves differently. The second section instead has the main instrument play a new phrase over four bars with no rests; it is repeated a total of four times, with each even repeat resolving differently. The track then transitions to the beginning of the "Mid-Boss Battle" section, and loops.

Game appearances[edit]

Kirby and the Rainbow Curse[edit]

"Battle Alone" debuts in Kirby and the Rainbow Curse. It plays in the mid-boss battle against Deepsee in Kirby Submarine's Torpedo Time, in the crusher section of Back to the Battleship, and in the room with the Grinkey in Wonder Space. It can be found as track 82 in the game's Music Room.

Kirby Air Riders[edit]

In Kirby Air Riders, "Battle Alone" appears as the alternate track of the Cyber Top Ride course, under the name "Cyber (Alt)". It can be unlocked by completing a lap in Cyber with the Swerve Star in under 25 seconds. It is also the theme for Neon Promenade in Road Trip.
