Made a summer skirt out of black plaid patchwork fabric. Didn't have quite enough, because I originally thought I would be making a blouse out of it, but I made it work. In-seam pockets, of course.
Got ink on my white skirt that wouldn't quite come out. Demoted that one to weekend wear, made a new one. This one is heavy twill, not quite as thick as the denim of the first one but close. I hope it wears okay, unlike the denim.
I left it plain for now, but I may add the dolphin trim at some point. Or possibly the green flower-vine. (I had decided on the dolphins, then left them off at the last minute.)

Made three more skirts, in aqua, lavender, and marine* (a slightly teal-ish medium blue). The marine one is a bit shorter than the others because I didn't have quiiiiite enough fabric. (Note to self: two yards is not enough for a skirt, even if the fabric is 60" wide.)
On to blouses!
*a new purchase, and not quite the color I thought it was.

Finished the decorated-denim skirt. Dark blue denim with multi-colored butterflies and flowers embroidered all over it. Very pretty!
Finished the light blue patchwork skirt. Either the fabric shrank quite a bit, or it was narrow to start with, so I couldn't lay it out the way I expected to. And I didn't manage to match the patches up quite right. But it looks good. I am worried that it's going to wrinkle a bit too much, but time will tell. Definitely a summer-only skirt, though.
I finished one last skirt, before turning my attention back to non-clothes things for the summer. The fabric is light blue, two shades sort of mottled, with tiny white stars. Below the hem, I put the moon-and-stars ruffle I found on eBay--white quilt binding edged with a 2" white ruffle that has crescent moons and stars embroidered on it two shades of blue thread. The skirt looks really good, although I should have sewed the ruffle on at the same time I sewed the hem; as it is, there are two seams (not very) visible around the bottom. The material is a fairly thin cotton, so it's definitely a summer skirt, not an all-season (or three-season) skirt like the others I've been making. And it's going to wrinkle; hopefully, I won't actually have to iron it.
I am definitely going to buy some of the similar butterfly ruffle for another skirt. And I may buy some of both for future quilt bindings.

I finished two things today: the pawprint blouse and the white denim skirt.
The blouse is white cotton, with bright pawprints all over. I made the buttons six different colors, to match the pawprints: teal, blue, lavender (would have preferred purple, but the buttons I saw were too red), hot pink, red, and orange. I'm almost sorry I didn't just do the teal, but it looks good.
The skirt was basically finished--in fact, I've worn it at least once already--but it needed trim. The dolphin ribbon I wanted turned out to be out of stock, so I substituted zebras. It came out well, although the ribbon itself looks more pale gray than true white. I'm glad I didn't go with the iron-on vine I was first considering; it would have been to wide. (Also way too expensive.)
I also bought fabric this morning for a light blue skirt, to which I am going to add the white ruffle with blue crescent moons and stars embroidered on it. The fabric is fairly light-weight cotton, so this is going to be a summer-only skirt. I may at some point get some light blue denim for a three-season skirt, but the ruffle wouldn't look right on denim.

Finished the white denim skirt, except for the trim on the bottom edge. After a lot of poking around and rethinking what I wanted, last night I found--and ordered--1" white ribbon with dolphins and orcas woven in. Pretty!
I also ordered a blue and white ruffle, which will look good on the light blue skirt I was sort of planning (although denim will no longer work).
And I'm in the process of ordering lots and lots of small embroidered butterfly appliques. I want mint green or lavender for those, although I'd settle for white again, or maybe rose pink.
I also figured out *exactly* what I want to do with the denim shoulderbag I've been thinking about: leftover dolphin trim over the strap, one of those great orca buttons (that I haven't been buying because I had no use for them) for the closure, and cut the front applique out of the orca fabric that I used for my bedquilt. [Later: I can't find my scraps of orca fabric, dammit. I must have used it all. Oh, well, I have lots of marine fabric, much of it blue, so there's sure to be something that will work. One of the space whales, for example.]
*sigh* My to-do list keeps getting longer and longer.

Finished the gray pawprint skirt. The fabric was originally kind of stiff, but once I washed it (removed the sizing?), it became much more flow-y. Almost too much so for a most-season skirt.
Finished the cat skirt for the Felina DeVille costume: The usual pattern in black, with 24 gray and brown cat appliques around the lower edge. I like it!
long sleeve:
tuxedo cats, with black/white pawprint collar and cuffs (costume)
dolphin panels--need coordinating fabric
cats on black, with black/brown pawprint collar and cuffs
short sleeve:
white daisies on blue
blue and rose pattern on white
white with blue flowers
black with rainbow butterflies (forgot to buy enough for long-sleeve, darnit!)
polar bear panels--need coordinating fabric
camouflage dolphins
white with colored pawprints off the list because the fabric is actually ivory, not white
space city fabric (for cons)
skirts:
light gray with pawprints
black with cat applique (costume)
white (need to buy fabric)
blue denim?

I'm planning a costume around the cat stole, plus:
cat hat (I have an idea that should be pretty simple)
cat handbag (I have a truly warped idea--that should also be pretty simple)
cat-print skirtdenim skirt with applique cats
cat-print blouse (maybe--finding cat fabric is easy; finding some that I'm willing to wear afterward will be the tricky part))
OR
kitty slippers
stuffed cat (in a pinch I could use the blue tuxedo cat, but it isn't really ideal)
maybe the skirt and/or blouse
