I made a defragged zebra, with the black and white colors sorted together instead of mixed.

The current owner of the polka dot zebra contacted me with the news that the velvet hooves are fraying badly. I'm going to send her replacements to slip on over the other ones (because otherwise it would have to be unstuffed and inverted to attach the new ones). This time, I'm putting interfacing on the back side of the velvet. I'm also going to send her a set of suedecloth hooves, in case the new velvet ones fail, too.
Note to self: velvet needs interfacing and a larger seam allowance. And it should probably be reserved for flat things, like ear linings.

Finished the lime green zebra today. Unlike the red one, I didn't have a matching solid, so the underbody is striped instead of plain green. But they're otherwise pretty much identical.
I'm still planning on making more alternate zebras at some point, but not before next year at the earliest.

Finished the polka-dot zebra. Very short-pile fur, aka minky. The hindquarters are black with white dots, the rest is white with black dots. Cute.

Finished the first alternate zebra: red and black stripes. The fur is more tiger than zebra, but I coped. It's also extremely soft and plushy. The solid red I used for the underbody doesn't quiiiiite match, but it's close enough.

Lime zebra, not red. Also peppermint, if I can find suitable fabric. There a pink-and-white "candy cane" Minky that would be absolutely perfect--but apparently it's been discontinued, and all the online stores are out of stockfound it!
I've seen--but not yet bought--fabric for two more blouses. Maybe plus a couple more once I raid my quilting supplies.
And I'm going fabric shopping tomorrow. Cover me, I'm going in!
