The planet panel blouse is finished except for the buttons. (I found delightful Earth buttons on eBay but had to order them from China, so it's taking a little while to actually get them.) The main fabric and the background sky on the panels is really, really similar; you have to look pretty closely to see the difference.
Finally finished the farm animal Christmas panel blouse. The holly fabric is much heavier than the panels, so it's a bit odd, but I like it.
Next up: seahorses.

Going to make a pinstripe tuxedo cat to go along with the houndstooth one. Assuming that I buy the fur before it sells out. Probably have to use the Fluffy pattern; the seated cat pattern is the wrong scale for both furs.
I also bought more blouse fabric. Three so far, plus something that I will probably use for panels (and plotting the main fabric). ::sigh::

Made the "Flying Unicorn" blouse. Pretty! Fabric is new this spring. Supposedly 100% cotton but, considering the amount of horizontal stretch, I'm a bit dubious.
I decided against the unicorn buttons. They're too big and spiky; I would have had to use bigger buttonholes. (This means that I almost certainly will not use these buttons ever. At some point, I'll have to put a big mixed lot on eBay starting at a buck or two.)

Made three more skirts, in aqua, lavender, and marine* (a slightly teal-ish medium blue). The marine one is a bit shorter than the others because I didn't have quiiiiite enough fabric. (Note to self: two yards is not enough for a skirt, even if the fabric is 60" wide.)
On to blouses!
*a new purchase, and not quite the color I thought it was.

Why did I never plan to make a pegasus?
Also: green lion (I'd prefer purple, but I seem to be out of the shaggy dark purple that I used for the cow. (CR's has a matching short purple if I ever find the remaining shag.))
ETA: Found the shaggy purple! Woohoo!
ETA2: Oh, hey, the Green Lion is an actual Thing in alchemy (although what it actually symbolizes seems to be a matter of some debate). Green it is!

Now I have waaaaay too much fabric for dragons. But it's so pretty! And shiny! And glittery!
Tags:
Just bought some brown and gold "crocodile" suedecloth/pleather with the thought that it would make a great dragon. Resisted the shiny green leopard pleather, but if I see it again, I'll buy some for another dragon. And I keep forgetting that I bought shiny silver and gold fabrics for dragons quite a while ago. (Those two will probably need interfacing; they're quite flimsy.)
So...dragons!
I don't think I have a pattern, but making one should be easy enough. I'll test it with the silver or gold, probably, instead of the usual muslin/towel/fleece.
Next year. Or even the year after.
ETA: Turns out I do have a pattern, from Simplicity, but I don't like it. There are also a couple of free ones I can download that look pretty good. Or I can use one or more of those as the basis for my own pattern.

I finished two things today: the pawprint blouse and the white denim skirt.
The blouse is white cotton, with bright pawprints all over. I made the buttons six different colors, to match the pawprints: teal, blue, lavender (would have preferred purple, but the buttons I saw were too red), hot pink, red, and orange. I'm almost sorry I didn't just do the teal, but it looks good.
The skirt was basically finished--in fact, I've worn it at least once already--but it needed trim. The dolphin ribbon I wanted turned out to be out of stock, so I substituted zebras. It came out well, although the ribbon itself looks more pale gray than true white. I'm glad I didn't go with the iron-on vine I was first considering; it would have been to wide. (Also way too expensive.)
I also bought fabric this morning for a light blue skirt, to which I am going to add the white ruffle with blue crescent moons and stars embroidered on it. The fabric is fairly light-weight cotton, so this is going to be a summer-only skirt. I may at some point get some light blue denim for a three-season skirt, but the ruffle wouldn't look right on denim.

I have at least five medium-to-longish greens for The Green Bear, plus three or four short ones for muzzle/paws/ear-linings. So that's definitely a go.
I also want to make a blue/green calico out of the green-and-white and blue-and-white soft, stringy furs. I don't need a matching white, since there's already white mixed in. If I do the larger seated cat, I may not even have to further subdivide the pieces, which will save on work. Hmmmm, at least one back piece or head-side might should be broken up. I'll have to see what I think will look best when I get to that one.

As a way to use those annoying black and red furs from Australia: A quilt/wall hanging in one of the "Devil" patterns from the 5,500 quilt blocks book.
Finished Faithful/Pounce. Needs a ribbon, because I could *not* get the neck joint tight. This black fur from Australia is very soft and silky, and a royal pain to work with. Sorry I bought it, and in red as well.

Finished footrest: faux fur over foam.
I used the black leopard fur I bought off eBay a few months back. The fur's kind of stiff for stuffed animals, so I may try to sell the remaining 1/3 yard. (It's fairly soft when stroked with the nap, but against the nap is a bit scratchy.) Or I might keep it. (Black leopard unicorn, to go with the pinto?)
I made a near-cube out of the fur, then put the foam pieces in and sewed the end on. The foam was a bit hard to cut, but I managed with my utility knife. I also didn't get everything quiiite straight. But it works.
Estimated completion time: two days, which I was afraid was overly optimistic. Actual completion time: one day.

The space whales fabric turns out to have quite a bit left. Not enough for a whole blouse, but more than enough for panels and collar. It would go very nicely with one of the space batiks I've been eyeing, too. The only question remaining is short sleeve or long.
I like this fabric much, much better than the space city fabric that I was contemplating making a blouse out of. (I need a little bit for the TARDIS quilt, but I had to buy two yards. Which leaves the question of what I do with the rest of it.)

I've started buying fabrics for a vaguely-defined urban fantasy quilt. Okay, one fabric (spooky gravestones).

I should have bought one of the cotton prints I saw in the Fashion District. JoAnn's, surprisingly, didn't have a white-with-small-design that I really liked. I did discover that some--maybe 15%--quilting cottons are a thicker weave, fairly close to the shirt I'm trying to replace. I bought one fabric in that feel: white with designs; I'm not crazy about it, but it's pretty good. I also bought a smoother cotton (that doesn't seem to wrinkle much): blue with white daisies, instead of the other way around. That one I'm going to make up first--next weekend. The other will probably wait until next year.
I also bought a really cool camouflage dolphin print in blues. It might go with the panels I have on order, but I bought enough to make a blouse by itself. I saw and was tempted by some cat prints for the skirt, but I was buying a lot already and those weren't on sale, unlike the blouse fabrics. I'd really like a heavier fabric for the skirt; on the way home, inspiration struck: I'm going to make one in denim with the die-cut cats appliqued around the bottom. If the black paw-print fabric is still there when I go back, I may get that for a blouse.
