Patchwork Mouse

Finished the patchwork stars blouse. It looks great.

Did a lot of tie dyeing yesterday--six t-shirts and nine pairs of socks--although it still needs to be rinsed out, dried, and then washed in hot water. Not sure how they came out, since they're still wrapped in plastic to stay wet while the dye sets.

Forgot to mention that I made another long-sleeve blouse: flannel with teal horses.

And as of now, my website is up to date. I still want to add a section for jewelry and glass--by summer at the latest.

Made the long-sleeve leaf blouse (shades of blue). Had a lot of trouble with the sewing machine, so the stitches aren't as even as they should be. (Note to self: Clean out the bobbin compartment when the stitches start going wonky.)

So that's sixteen things made and fourteen (or fifteen, depending on how you count the mayhaps) new ideas. Catching up a tiny bit, maybe.

Finished the fancy white blouse. Had to use a pressing sheet because of the lace. I suspect that that's going to get all wrinkled and nasty in the wash. Also, the fabric is kind of sheer. This one may be heading to the thrift shop after one wearing.

Also, I ran out of white thread while hemming the sleeves, which is why I didn't finish is last weekend. (I thought--correctly--that I had an extra spool of white. But it's quilting thread, not machine.)

It's short-sleeve blouse season. First up: colorful butterflies on white. Now working on the patchwork-y one.

The planet panel blouse is finished except for the buttons. (I found delightful Earth buttons on eBay but had to order them from China, so it's taking a little while to actually get them.) The main fabric and the background sky on the panels is really, really similar; you have to look pretty closely to see the difference.

Finally finished the farm animal Christmas panel blouse. The holly fabric is much heavier than the panels, so it's a bit odd, but I like it.

Next up: seahorses.

Second long-sleeve blouse of the season: black and gray owl batik.

Going to make a pinstripe tuxedo cat to go along with the houndstooth one. Assuming that I buy the fur before it sells out. Probably have to use the Fluffy pattern; the seated cat pattern is the wrong scale for both furs.

I also bought more blouse fabric. Three so far, plus something that I will probably use for panels (and plotting the main fabric). ::sigh::
