The Red Victory Grenade Rifle is a unique weapon in the Fallout: New Vegas DLC Lonesome Road.
Background[edit]
This Grenade Rifle was a Chinese model seized by the U.S. Military. It is identical to the standard Grenade Rifle, but with a red and yellow Chinese flag design on the stock. It was sent as a gift to a general in the United States military by a friend who stole it from a shipment of seized Chinese weapons, and is found with a number of 40mm Grenade Rifle rounds.[1]
Gameplay[edit]
The Red Victory Grenade Rifle is a unique variant of the Grenade Rifle. It has a lower AP cost when used in V.A.T.S and weighs less than the standard variant. The Red Victory has a faster attack speed than the standard, but as it can only fire a single shot before reloading this doesn't affect the actual damage per second.
Durability[edit]
The Red Victory Grenade Rifle can fire a total of about 620 standard rounds from full condition before breaking.
Variants[edit]
- Grenade Rifle - the common variant found throughout the Mojave Wasteland.
- Thump-Thump - a unique variant found at the Nellis Array.
- Mercenary's Grenade Rifle - a unique variant added with the Courier's Stash DLC.
- Great Bear Grenade Rifle - a unique variant found in the Long 15.

Location[edit]
Found in a gun case on a cliff to the west Dry Wells. It can be obtained only if the Courier chooses to launch the missiles at the Legion, or both the NCR and the Legion during The Apocalypse.
Notes[edit]
- The Red Victory Grenade Rifle originally appeared as unused content texture and meshes in the game files of Old World Blues, named as Spider Rifle, along with the projectiles.
- The only way to obtain it is to nuke the Legion at the end of Lonesome Road.
- This weapon is not affected by the Grunt perk.
- Only three of the four small yellow stars from the Chinese Flag are visible on the weapon, and their arrangement around the central star is off, when compared to the flag.
Behind the Scenes[edit]
Joshua Sawyer has stated that the Red Victory Grenade Rifle is based on the real-world M79.[Dev 1]
