The Broad Machete is a unique weapon in Fallout: New Vegas.

Gameplay

The Broad Machete is a unique variant of the Machete. It was a pre-order exclusive weapon, included with the Tribal Pack, before the release of Courier's Stash. It deals more damage and has higher DPS and base damage than the normal variant. It has a unique Pip-Boy icon when selected. Unlike most other one-handed melee weapons, it does not have the "Back Slash" special attack or limb damage bonus.

Durability

The Broad Machete can successfully strike about 370 times from full condition before breaking.

Variants

• Machete - the common version found in the Wasteland.
• Machete Gladius - a rarer, more powerful version.
• Liberator - a unique version carried by Dead Sea.

Locations

Originally, the only way to acquire this weapon was by redeeming the code that came with the pre-order exclusive Tribal Pack. It can now also be acquired by purchasing the add-on Courier's Stash.

Notes

• The Tribal Pack's promotional poster shows the character holding a plain Machete.
• The charge attack animation is the same as the Legion Assault's animation.
