The Independent Fallout Wiki is a community dedicated to maintaining a high-quality, comprehensive, and accessible encyclopedia about all aspects of the Fallout Series. The site is home to a community of enthusiastic fans, dedicated to expanding the site and making accurate information accessible to all.

A group of Fallout fans from several corners of the community established the Independent Fallout Wiki on founded on April 8, 2022. The site entered early access on October 23, 2022, and launched to the public on December 31, 2022.[1][2] The community joins several networks of independent wikis, websites, and partners, proud to be a fan-run, owned, and operated wiki and website.
Wiki Info[edit]
The Independent Fallout Wiki includes several individual spaces including the Mainspace (main Fallout Wiki) and Mod Central (Fallout mods and authors), Resources (tools, walkthroughs, guides, and datamining), Community (fan projects, screenshots, real world info), and marketing (merch, behind the scenes, pre-release tidbits). We work hard every day to make sure that the information and content on our wiki is up to date and accurate. We put facts first here when editing by ensuring that all information is thoroughly sourced and cited. Not to mention, we have cute wiki mascots, including Scribble and Lil Schmault. Our site features multiple skins and extensions that enhance our non-intrusive layout, and being independent means we can guide the wiki with full access to site statistics and tools - for the people, by the people. We are open to suggestions, new ideas, and feedback - everyone's opinions matter! Plus we welcome everyone to dive right in! It is very easy for new editors to sign up at any time, or learn the ropes at Schmault-Tec University, which covers everything from basic to advanced editing, so that anyone who wants to, can learn!
Schmault-Tec[edit]
Alongside our dedication to documenting the Fallout franchise, we support a positive, productive community environment, known colloquially as 
Schmault-Tec, a reference to the Schmault-Tec Bubbleheads in Point Lookout. Our wider community brings fan projects, content creators, and mod authors together in collaborative spaces including Fallout Mod Hub, sharing Resources and adding to the zany Community Space. The Schmault is a welcoming place to talk about all things Fallout, join events, make friends, hear updates about the franchise, and have fun.
Charity Campaigns[edit]
A big part of our community is our dedication to paying it forward. We are excited to help the Fallout community by engaging in several Charity Campaigns benefiting worthwhile causes such as the Goodsprings Cemetery Association, Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Alzheimer's Association, and St. Jude's Children's Hospital.[3][4]

Check out the Schmault-Tec University, a set of guides that cover various aspects of the wiki and its community in a stress-free learning environment. Graduates receive diplomas and Vault-Tec Corporation "Your Knowledge Suffices!"(TM) badges will be semi-ceremoniously branded on your permanent record.
