The current owner of the polka dot zebra contacted me with the news that the velvet hooves are fraying badly. I'm going to send her replacements to slip on over the other ones (because otherwise it would have to be unstuffed and inverted to attach the new ones). This time, I'm putting interfacing on the back side of the velvet. I'm also going to send her a set of suedecloth hooves, in case the new velvet ones fail, too.
Note to self: velvet needs interfacing and a larger seam allowance. And it should probably be reserved for flat things, like ear linings.
