Wilber is the cute animal we see whenever we open GIMP:

There is apparently something called the "Wilber Construction Kit" included in the GIMP source code, which one can use to customize Wilber's appearance (add hats, etc.).  Can anyone help me with accessing this feature (and using it)?  Thank you.

Hi everyone, it´s been a long time since i posted something, but i have a question now and i hope someone can help me out.

So i had to uninstall Gimp some time ago, and now i´ve installed it again, now, as it´s been some time i don´t remember properly so, is it normal to have a Gimp folder in both documents and settings(containing folders of brushes, curves, fonts, gradients, etc) AND in File programs(containing->Gimp->...share-->Gimp-->2.2-->folders of brushes, gradients,patterns, tips, etc)

is that normal or have i done something wrong?
and if it´s normal, where do the brushes, gradients,etc go because some of the folders are the same.

please help me, i feel as if i were just starting with Gimp *feels depressed*

Okay I may sound like an idiot asking this, but how do you install GAP? Everytime I download the file it won't open, and says that the file type isn't supported by the browser. Now I maybe a little behind the times, I'm running Windows XP, but shouldn't it open with GIMP once it's downloaded.

Any help would be greatly appreciated seeing as I'm new to the program.

I would LOVE to be a GIMP user, but my issues are so basic I'm not even there yet.

Please forgive if this is not the correct forum for this question, or if it's already been answered 20 zillion times (point, please?).

I downloaded the lovely GIMP to my iBook G4, and attempted to open it. I get this error message :

"Missing X11 Gimp.app requires X11 from the "Optional Installs" package on the OS X install disc."

So I dig out my install discs (there are three! - install disc 1, install disc 2, and Additional software).

I load up and look through each one, but can't figure out where X11 is.

Does anybody know?

Um, so, I went to update my GIMP after being largely offline for a year. The latest is 2.2.17, but all the packages I'm finding seem to be source installations? In the INSTALL file, it says to 'contact your distributor' or somesuch.... where can I find a package that has an installer rather than a zip with a bunch of confusing libraries?
