iQue is a Suzhou-based company that was founded as a joint venture between Wei Yen and Nintendo back in 2002. It is known for releasing Nintendo's portable consoles, as well as the iQue Player (the Chinese version of the Nintendo 64 that is a hybrid of a plug-and-play and a home video game console.), to the Chinese market with Chinese versions of the Nintendo GameCube and Wii planned under the names of iQue Cube and iQue Wii, respectively, but were cancelled. Nintendo released these under the iQue brand to bypass China's ban on video games at the time. As of 2013, it is a fully-owned subsidiary of Nintendo.
Visuals:
- Opening: On a black background, a blue glossy circle with a silver border ripples in with a glowing orange light, containing the text "iQue". The light then dims out as the logo stops rippling.
- Closing: Transitioning from the trailer's Star Fox 64 game footage, an ornate golden book cover closes containing the cover design art for the game with a "7" indicator at the top. The camera moves away as it reveals other books of different N64 titles rotating around a blue cylindrical light vortex, as most of these at the top and bottom begin spinning rapidly, with the ones from the middle slowly moving and then fading to a more rapid pace. The book then rise quickening up in speed, and begin to settle in different holes from the moving vortex as it begins to rotate vertically. It then reveals the logo for iQue, which moves back and settles at the center. A shine passes through the logo. A photo collage of 10 pictures of people playing the iQue Player, with a gap on the middle, begins appearing in order. At the middle, a white flash appears as a picture of the console and its games zooms out. This is followed by an endtag featuring the zooming out texts "神游亲子教育游戏机", the telephone number, which disappears with a blur, and the URL "www.iQue.com", which appears as rotating / zooming 3D letters with a blue glow positioning in order, with the rays then passing towards the text.
Technique: CGI.
Audio:
- Opening: A quiet ascending chime, followed by a synthesized "bong!" sound.
- Closing: Synth beeping sounds are heard with a whoosh when the book closes, followed by another ascending series of whooshes as the books begin to move up. A ding is heard when the logo shines, then "Music, Billboard #2" from the Sound Ideas Series 1000 sound library plays, accompanied by a high-pitched voice in Mandarin Chinese, with another whoosh when the image of the console zooms out. Two more whooshes appear at the endtag, with a reverse crash and a "thud" when the URL appears.
