My broken ankle(s)
I never know how to describe what I did to myself - I shattered both bones in my right ankle, so I broke more than one ankle (one on each side), but saying I broke two ankles seems to imply that I broke something on the left also.

I got the cast off on Friday, which is a relief because it was just so . . . immutable, immovable. I have a boot now, but still not allowed to put weight on it for another 6-8 weeks. So no driving. I'm beyond grateful that I live with someone who can 1) drive; and 2) loves me enough to drive me everywhere.

I need to find a physical therapist and get PT started. I'm sure my boss will be super happy that I will miss work on a regular basis.

Up until I fell, one of my workout moves was single leg deadlifts, which is coming in handy now as my left leg is having to do all the work for both legs.

TV Shows
I had started watching The Expanse the night before I fell, which I had resolved to once I read the books. I was going to continue that the other night, but when I opened Prime, I saw that the new season of The Wheel of Time had dropped so I watched the first episode of that instead. I'm disappointed that they cut out the title sequence with the weaving. It was . . . fine. But I don't feel like I'm in the mental place to follow complicated plotlines or try to remember all these people, and who is doing what.

Last night, I decided to try Animal Control (something short and silly), but when I opened Hulu, I saw that Shoresy season 4 was out, so I watched that instead. Perfect!

Moving Again
We are moving again in May. Not across the country this time, just across town. We finally found a permanent place that we are happy with. I knew this rental was temporary, but it's a good place. The thought of moving *again* gives me the shudders, especially since I won't really be able to help with it this time.

On Monday, I broke my ankle, shattered it really. I had surgery yesterday to repair all that. I'm also on the good drugs, plus a bunch of other things. I think I have 10 pill bottles sitting in the kitchen.

I have to go six weeks without putting weight on it. So no driving. They gave me crutches at the emergency department, but those things completely suck. They're exhausting and painful. My surgeon wrote a prescription for a knee scooter, and that has been much better. My attitude towards this improved immensely once I got the scooter.

This is going to be a long and tedious six weeks.
