Work Computer
December 12th, 2021 09:45 amI mostly work from home these days, and remotely log into the computer in my office. On Monday, it refused to log in, so I called the office. Sometimes power blips turn the towers off, and someone has to go physically push the button.
Turned out my computer was completely dead, no lights would come on. They pulled another computer out of an empty office and put it in mine. I had throw all my stuff in my bag and dash into the office, because I needed to log onto all the accounts on the 'new' computer and get everything set up all over again.
There's nothing more disruptive to my work flow than 'Surprise! New computer.' It took two and half days to get everything back to the point that I could work remotely again.
Everything is mostly back to normal, however, they can't seem to figure out how to remove the previous person from the Outlook app, so I have two mailboxes on it - mine and that other person's.
So yeah, that was my work week. Hope everybody else had a better time!
