Resisting Everything but Temptation

I hope dkwilliams and raine will forgive me for my slight exaggeration when I said no one had guessed me a few days ago. Technically, I'd been sniffed out for the story I wrote as my main entry, but no one had guessed my pinch hit! Which I think Diana (or perhaps it was Esjay?) then promptly did, so. :D

I had so much fun writing this one. As I said to hafital (who was kind enough to beta for me), I didn't start out intending to write Cory/Richie, but Cory would not be resisted. And in fact, I had so much fun writing it that in a fit of pre-holiday...something or other, I volunteered to pinch hit. That one also turned out to be a lot of fun, though possibly a little masochistic? (I don't recommend trying to write historical fic under a very tight deadline if you value your sanity.) If I'd had more time, this one would have included more Musketeers (and Hornblower) references, and a cameo by a very young Lord Byron, but at a certain point my hands were so frozen from typing that I had to cut bait.

Day 4 - Create a fanwork

Ohhh, it was not a good day for this. Long-ass day. But I did take a little stab at it. This is not finished—I picked up a snippet I had started for blackrabbit42 a long time ago, and added some words to it. I'll try to finish it this weekend.

In case you didn't already see it, TroublesFest reveals went live yesterday. franzeska seemed to think it was obvious that she wrote my fantastic gift story, but I'll be honest, I was too busy devouring it happily to worry too much about guessing. The story spins off from one of my favorite S3 episodes ("Magic Hour"), and makes great use of Moira and Noelle, not to mention that pesky death-vision Duke got from Vanessa back in S1. So good!

The rest of the stories are really good, too. There's one about Evi! One about Eleanor Carr! And lots of OT3 to love. I still have a bunch to read, including two long Dwight stories, but I started tracking some of my favorites here.

My own offering was for queenmidalah, and I really screwed up with finishing and posting it. First I was out of commission health-wise for a week, then had an unexpected death in the family, and finally found myself on medication that made it very difficult to stay awake. I was so screwed up that I thought last Sunday was still the 7th, and hadn't yet posted the finished version of my story when things went live on the 8th. Basically, a disaster. But it did go up in its finished form at some point on Sunday night, with deepest apologies to my recipient.
