Word is they have 80 author signups, in lots of great fandoms, including Almost Human, Elementary, Supernatural (FPF and J2), Merlin, Haven, MCU, Firefly, plus some great crossovers, etc. Artist claims begin on May 31st, and posting starts on July 10th.

From the FAQ:

Is there a minimum/maximum requirement for my art?
There is no real limit, but we do ask artists to remember that the authors are writing a minimum of 7,500 and your artwork should reflect that. You can do anything you like, including banners, wallpapers, icons, mixes, picspams, etc. We also ask that when you are in contact with the author, you work with them to see if there is anything specific they would like (i.e. a wallpaper). The art is your work, but having ideas doesn't hurt!

I didn't forget about all those awesome prompts you guys gave me a couple of weeks ago. I've been typing away at some of them, but apparently I underestimated the effect my stress levels would have on my ability to produce words. Those were some seriously quality prompts, though, and at least some of them will get finished. Eventually.

In case you were wondering, I did actually work today. It was not easy.

Happy to note that I actually completed one more story in 2013 than I did in 2012—which is not saying a lot. None of them were long. All of them were like pulling teeth. I think, and this is tough to say, I am not going to sign up for any fic challenges in 2014. Fandom deadlines and me, we are not friends these days. I am, however, going to try my damnedest to finish a vid for Escapade and one for VividCon.

I'm not sure I have an active fandom at the moment, other than the perpetual Highlander. Still haven't caught up on Supernatural, and I'm not sure I want to for at least a few more episodes. Haven and I are at peace. This season was simultaneously very enjoyable and not what I hoped, and my desire to write fic or vid is nonexistent. Loving the hell out of Lost Girl, but who needs to fic that? It's already fanfic, right there on my screen. Ditto Sleepy Hollow and Grimm. Hm. Maybe Almost Human? I have hopes. But, early days.

Feeling a very strong urge to rewatch all of Hornblower right now. I wonder whose fault that could be?

They're integrating with Calibre, which is super cool, and I hope to figure out how to do that for the Kirk/Spock archive as well.

Let the quietest week of the year begin! I am so ready. My plans are to watch Beckett, catch up on Almost Human, Sleepy Hollow, and Glee, and read some good books.
