Plus, there's something freeing about not knowing who you're recipient is. And I don't know why, but it takes so much of the stress off when I know I have to keep it under 2,500 words.

OMG, the new year has started out to the tune of INSANITY. I'm glad we have work, but… yay? *burrows into a deep hole under the ground* I took time out last night to watch the latest episode of Lost Girl—YAY. Damn, I'm so easy for this show. If you're watching it, too—talk to me.

I did manage to finish my hlh_shortcuts story this year—double yay! It was very nearly the only thing I managed to write this year. (Boo.) And writing it made me dream of other lives in which I have time to write all the Highlander/Supernatural crossovers, because, yes. Thank you, pat_t, for giving me an excuse to dip into the inkwell that makes me happiest. :)
