Belatedly, a big move!
Nov. 20th, 2023 04:55 pmBy sheer wonderful happenstance, I discovered that a very dear fandom friend from my first long-ago days in fandom happens to be living a few miles down the road from me. I had such a sweet and lovely visit with her yesterday, and I'm so grateful! Hoping to see her again this week. The last time we saw each other was about exactly 7 years ago, at the 2016 KiSCon.
...which made me very sad to think that I very well could have been living right down the street from her indefinitely, and never have known it, because I have been TERRIBLE at communicating life events for...about exactly that same 7 year period of time.
So, for any and all fannish friends and connections, we are now in Bernalillo, New Mexico north of Albuquerque—hopefully permanently! (Or at least, very long term.) If you are anywhere near this part of the world, please let me know. I don't want to miss any more chances to see old friends or get to know new ones. (I'll attempt to do some catching up here about life...I hope. Soon.)
Missing my Seattle peeps, but New Mexico really is the Land of Enchantment.
