I watched Lucifer. I didn't love it.

I watched The Magicians. I liked it enough to keep watching. Seems like a fusion of Narnia, Harry Potter, and Twilight. Not...actually a bad thing?

I watched Supernatural 11x11. I'm just C&P this from a comment on [livejournal.com profile] cassiopeia7's journal, because it's been a long day:

Loved this episode. Loved vulnerable Dean. Loved getting older Dean, who wants to retire with Sam (hugging him and smiling, like the couple in the picture). Loved Sam thinking it doesn't sound so bad by the end. LOVED THE GUEST CHARACTERS. (Aside: I actually didn't like Casifer as much this time as I did last ep (/extreme minority) but I liked the bit where he put his hand on Dean's shoulder and Dean knew instinctively something was whack.)

I couldn't help but fixate on one small thing Sam said when he was apologizing for Purgatory. He said he was sorry he didn't look for Dean, and then he said he stopped. I can accept this headcanon. There was a period of time where he was looking frantically, and then something happened, and he couldn't do it any more. It's a tiny bone to be thrown after all the B.S. of that storyline, but I WILL TAKE IT.

I also really liked the idea that Dean has genuine feelings about Amara, because I kind of feel for her, too. I've been thinking that the answer to the Darkness isn't to come out swinging, like they usually do. I kind of hope they have to find a different path. I want them to make peace with her. And I want Lucifer to be wiped out of existence.

Also, p.s., I totally ship Sam and Eileen and that should be a thing, js.

Okay, I will say nothing! Very curious what you will think of it.

FWIW, the TV show is VERY different.

ditto would love to hear your THOUGHTS. Because, as a sometime New Yorker, I had some. :)

Magicians is...interesting so far, but I am watching it in spite of Quentin.

Yup. I mean, yes, monomyth and whatnot, and doing what you can with an adult, but still. Though there's a _really_ good scene regarding it at the end of e02, in which a point is made at him.

I'm thinking the scene at the end with the faux-emt and the discussion of inadequacy.

I actually like Lucifer.

This was a very pretty and sweet episode of SPN this week. I still don't like Casifer, but broken, worried Dean is always sweet.

I'm not ignoring your question. I think I want to watch one more episode before answering, though. :)

Okay, so it's one of my favorite tropes. Redemption. Even Lucifer is effected by being on Earth and the just doesn't know what to do with the FEELINGS he is developing. And he tells the truth about who he is. All the time. I love that part.

D.B. Woodhouse (Amenadiel) is HoT and I expect to see some excellent brother action in the fanfic. Very curious to find out what will happen to him if Lucifer doesn't return to Hell.

TRIXIE! OMG that little girls is the cutest thing ever and she loves Lucifer.

Not really into the whole Dr. Linda aspect but it is cute that he thinks he needs therapy.

Same about Lucifer. It wasn't bad? But. Eh. And yeah, also same about The Magicians. It could be good, but so far it's just... IDK? Sticking with it for the moment because I trust Gamble, but we'll see.
