No, there is too much—let me sum up.
Feb. 13th, 2015 04:20 am- I think I finished that HL vid for Escapade. (Thank you to everyone who offered help, even though I failed utterly at making use of your help. Reserves for social interaction and communication: REDLINE.) It's not great, but it makes me smile. I tried my best to squeeze everyone in there that I cared about, but I'm sorry, Marcus Constantine. Your episode is rather visually unappealing and humorless. You are much more fun in fanfic! Also, Nick and Bert, you know I love you. You just didn't fit in here, my friends. I tried. ETA: Scratch that, I found a spot for Nick! *pets Bert*
- I tried something new at the gym last week—one of these things. Spoiler, this is NOT something that someone with lower spine problems should attempt. Jeez, self. OW. Hoping that the inflammation will subside soon. :P Frustrating!
- So far behind on all the television. I'm loving Agent Carter, liking Constantine, intrigued by 12 Monkeys, anxious about Elementary, kinda bored by Sleepy Hollow, mostly enjoying Justified, a little annoyed at Grimm, bored and frustrated by The Musketeers, missing Lost Girl, moderately pleased by Supernatural, and really, really far behind on The 100. Only about 2-3 episodes behind on everything else—including the HL rewatch. This is too much TV.
- I need a clone.
- Wishing a happy birthday to
franzeska, with many wishes for a better 2015!

- I too am watching too much TV, and yet not watching any of the same shows you are. Will we ever share a fandom again?
- Can I make a clone to do my current job for me while I find another one? Cuz that would be awesome.

I was thinking two or three to do my current job for me while I catch up on TV.

Date: 2015-02-13 09:54 pm (UTC)Parks and Recreation, Jane the Virgin, and (my first time ever) Star Trek: Voyager. Waiting for Orange is the New/Orphan Black to return. Not really looking forward to the next season of Doctor Who, but I'll probably watch anyway because childhood fandom and all.
Apparently I need lots of women on my screen right now.

Date: 2015-02-16 03:41 pm (UTC)I'm not sure who is wrong to ship on Voyager, but I am all about Janeway, so whatever makes her happy. (:

As for shipping, I was very shippy with that show. I shipped Janeway/Tuvok, B'Elanna/Chakotay, and Paris/Kim. Did not enjoy Paris/Torres or Janeway/Chakotay at all. And unfortunately, though nowadays I like the idea of Janeway/Seven, when Jeri Ryan first came on the show she was straight off of The Sentinel, where she had just finished breaking up my pairing on THAT show, so I did not want to see her face at all. And she was doing the Spock-Data thing, which I was really sick of at the time. Long story short, I was grouchy and disgruntled in fandom in general, and easily ticked off. Voyager was a rebound boyfriend for me, so destined not to last, I suspect. But now I look back on both the show and the fandom with fondness, and am much less married to particular characters or headcanons.

Date: 2015-02-16 03:57 pm (UTC)A lot of people seem to have bailed out on the show when Seven of Nine appeared. I actually miss Kes a lot, but otherwise have no complaints. All of the Star Treks seem to have a Pinocchio character -- Spock, Data, Odo, Seven -- so it feels like part of the formula to me. Something essential about Trek. Though I do like the Doctor on Voyager in that role as well, possibly even more (I LOVED the VVC premiere about Star Trek's holograms last year).
I can totally see Janeway-Tuvok, though having read Talking Stick/Circle, I do tend toward Janeway-Chakotay more. Janeway/Seven is totally fascinating to me conceptually, but I haven't read any yet.
I do not like Tom Paris at all, so I prefer not to ship him with anybody. (: B'Elanna deserves better!

Date: 2015-02-16 04:07 pm (UTC)Yes, it was Kes's death that broke my heart a bit. I wasn't used to characters dying yet at that point—I was still quite new to fandom! And she was my favorite. As for Janeway/Tuvok, that is a dynamic I'm just genetically programmed to love. My Mal/Zoe feelings are much the same. :) It all goes back to Kirk and Spock, I suspect!
Talking Stick/Circle was what actually made me stop watching the show, just because it was so good and satisfying, I didn't need the show any more. But now I'm actually fond of Jeri Ryan, and long over my Spock snit, so I keep thinking it would be nice to go back and finish watching the show.

Date: 2015-02-16 04:14 pm (UTC)Talking Stick/Circle is sooooooooooooo goooooooooooood. I even got P. to read it! This never happens. (:
If you do decide to watch the rest of the show, we should discuss!

Not that you need more tv, but I've been loving the hell out of Empire. "The Lion in Winter set in the world of hip-hop" -- a dramatic family soap opera, basically. Taraji Henson is amazing and the rest of the cast (Terence Howard!) is great, too.

Date: 2015-02-13 07:56 pm (UTC)YES PLEASE, wtf. I specifically requested cyborg replacements.
EMPIRE, yes, I need to watch that.

Hope you have more breathing space soon! If it helps, I haven't managed to watch any shows for weeks so you're ahead of at least some people!
