Gotta admit I'm cautiously hopeful for the SPN season premiere tonight. Less hopeful about this week's Haven, sadly. Did finally watch the S2 premiere of Elementary; didn't love it. However, 2.02 pleased me better. I'm starting to get kind of seriously attached to Marcus Bell. Like, every time he's on screen I'm mentally pairing him with people. (Abbie from Sleepy Hollow, anyone? OMG they would make the cutest couple, and she would have him so whipped. You know who else? Amanda Darieux. OMGOMGOMG I want it. SO HOT. Likewise, Marcus/Kenzi. Freaking adorable.)
Two recs:
Unbreakable by
roseveare (Haven, Duke/Nathan, NC17)
This story and its many well-deserved recs made me realize that I have a serious issue with Duke/Nathan (actual sex) set while Nathan is Troubled: namely, I don't easily believe that Duke would actually go for it—for several reasons. Before I read this story, I actually said I couldn't go there. But I gave the story a second try because so many people were saying good things about it, and okay, I'm convinced.
Plus, this is just some great fan writing. Amazing job of capturing the characters and the gestalt of Haven. I got to the end and wanted to read it again immediately, which is about the best recommendation I can make.
Mystery Dance by
balder12 (SPN, Sam/Dean, specifically, fanfic for the genderswap fan film The Other Side.)
This is one of those stories that makes me say, this is what fandom is for. The Other Side gave us a fresh take on SPN canon while re-imagining the characters of Sam and Dean as they might have been; "Mystery Dance" explores the questions that The Other Side left open, and answers them in a way that pushes the reader's emotions and perceptions. It's fanfic taken to the next level, and it's worth reading even if you have never seen Supernatural—it's that powerful, and true. It also made me cry, but they were good tears.

Possibly things happen in threesome with Duncan (which is new, he hadn't considered it before, but it happens so naturally, and then Sherlock looks at him and fuuuuuck he's black, how can he be blushing so hard).

"She didn't do it," Sherlock said, and then he gave all his reasons, and they were right, and god dammit, he had to uncuff this woman.
She was guilty of something. She had that look. Just not, apparently, guilty of stealing a million dollars worth of diamonds. "Kiss kiss," Amanda Volpe said.
