Entertainment Rights

At the beginning of 2000, after a merger with Carrington Productions International, Sleepy Kids, by then known as SKD Media, was renamed Entertainment Rights plc and expanded into acquisitions and new productions of older kids' properties. In 2007, the company acquired US-based Classic Media (now DreamWorks Classics/Distribution, acquisition of NBCUniversal in 2016), which forced them into bankruptcy. In April 2009, Entertainment Rights was acquired by a new US-based company called Boomerang Media, L.L.C., which was formed by the founders of Classic Media with backing from private equity firm GTCR, and then a month later, they were folded under the Classic Media name.

Variants:

• Most of the time, the logo is placed on a yellow background, leaving the logo as a rectangle. A smaller version is seen on a trailer of Barbie in the Nutcracker, with a Mattel copyright notice below.
• A black background version exists.
• On the first five seasons of The Basil Brush Show, the company name (with "RIGHTS" being smaller) is seen on a black background with the logos of The Foundation and BBC (later CBBC). On the sixth and final season, the logo - with the word "DISTRIBUTION" placed below "RIGHTS" - appears with the new CBBC and The Foundation logos on a white background.
• On Cubeez, the logo is placed on a white background. To the right of the logo is the text "For Further Information Contact: Entertainment Rights PLC. Their telephone number and email address are placed below.
• An in-credit version exists, which can be found on some shows, notably early S1 episodes of Guess with Jess.
• On Jim Jam & Sunny, the rectangle logo is on a light blue background of the man's head with the star.

Audio: None or the show's closing theme.

Availability:

• This logo can be found on the game Postman Pat for NDS.
• It is also seen on a few The Adventures of Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids DVD releases.
• It is also seen at the end of international airings of The Story of Tracy Beaker and on the Tracy Beaker: The DVD Collection set.
• The in-credit variant is seen on shows such as Little Red Tractor and the 2003 series of Postman Pat.
• It can also be found at the end of Hamilton Mattress, and current prints of Filmation programmes, such as the 1986 animated series of Filmation's Ghostbusters, among others.
• It also plasters both the Jetlag Productions and the 1989 variant of the 1987 LBS Communications logos on current prints of The New Adventures of He-Man.
• The black background version appears on seasons 4-6 of Katie and Orbie, which last reran in 2014.

2nd Logo (2003)

Visuals: Same as the short version of the Right Entertainment logo, except the word "ENTERTAINMENT" is moved above and "RIGHT" has been replaced with "RIGHTS", which fades in like "ENTERTAINMENT" usually does on the Right Entertainment logo.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: Same as the short version of the Right Entertainment logo.

Availability: So far, this logo is only known to appear on the French and Dutch DVD releases of Barbie of Swan Lake.

• The UK release of the movie also contains this logo if the French or Dutch language tracks are selected (the English track contains the standard full Right Entertainment logo) as all three languages use the same exact DVD master.
