Rose MacLean

Rose MacLean is a character in the Fallout Television Series.

Background[edit]

Rose was the wife of Overseer Hank MacLean and mother of Lucy MacLean and Norm MacLean. She lived in Vault 33 with her family until she decided to leave the Vault and live in Shady Sands. Hank went after her, and after seeing the city, he took the kids back and nuked the city. She survived the nuke, but was ghoulified in the process. Hank, alongside every other Vault 31 dweller, told Lucy that Rose died during a famine and that she was buried with her Pip-Boy. Norm discovers that her Pip-Boy was used to open the exterior door of Vault 32, allowing the raiders entry.

She was last seen living with Lee Moldaver, tied up to a chair facing a table of food in the Griffith Observatory. At this point of ghoulification, she was missing an arm and most of her face and skin. Rose is shot dead by her daughter, Lucy, after not being able to see her like this.

S1E1 - The End[edit]

On the day of Lucy's wedding, she and Hank discuss Rose, and how Hank felt on their wedding day. Later, at the end of the raid on the vault, Lee Moldaver tells Lucy that she resembles Rose.

S1E4 - The Ghouls[edit]

While being wheeled unconscious through the Super-Duper Mart, Lucy dreams of her mother.

S1E8 - The Beginning[edit]

After Lucy brought Dr. Siggi Wilzig's head to Griffith Observatory, where the NCR led by Moldaver settle, she is escorted to Moldaver's place. After giving Moldaver the Doctor's head, she gave Lucy a history lesson about her mother and Shady Sands, and the ghoul sitting next to Moldaver is Lucy's mother, and told Lucy that her father destroyed Shady Sands because Rose refused to go back to the vault with their children after knowing that society exists above.
