"Fight! Mid-Boss Battle"[1] is the Popstar mid-boss theme from Kirby's Return to Dream Land and Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe, arranged by Jun Ishikawa.[1]
Composition[edit]
"Fight! Mid-Boss Battle" consists of two themes from Kirby's Adventure: "Mid-Boss Battle" and "Boss". It starts with a short intro and "Mid-Boss Battle" plays in full twice, on its original key signatures, with each repeat featuring a different lead instrument. It then switches to "Boss", but in D minor instead of the original's C minor, and in a much higher pitch. After the first four bars of the first section, the melody goes in a much lower pitch and the bass becomes quieter, making the percussion stand out more. It then modulates to A minor like the original song, and its final section plays in full. The song then loops, omitting the intro.

Kirby's Return to Dream Land / Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe[edit]
"Fight! Mid-Boss Battle" debuts in Kirby's Return to Dream Land and returns in its remake, serving as the mid-boss theme for levels located in Popstar, in addition to playing during the mid-boss battles against Gigant Edge, King Doo and Bonkers in The Arena and The True Arena. It can be found in the original Wii version's Sound Test as Music 11 and in the remake's Jukebox as track 12.
Team Kirby Clash Deluxe[edit]
In Team Kirby Clash Deluxe, an acoustic arrangement of "Fight! Mid-Boss Battle" plays in the Colossal Waddle Dee, Mr. Frosty, King Doo, Gigant Edge, Blocky, Kibble Blade and Bonkers quests.
Super Kirby Clash[edit]
Super Kirby Clash features a remix of the "Fight! Mid-Boss Battle" arrangement from Team Kirby Clash Deluxe with an electronic spin, which plays in the Colossal Double-Team Story Quest, the Colossal Triple-Team Story Quest and the Colossal Triple-Team Party Quest.
