So, as I vaguely said in my previous entry, I still haven't even started making a remake of PrtSc Land even though I'd always said I wanted to starting on the 10th or 12th or 15th or (some other nice number)th anniversary of it - and I'd always been hoping that it would be the tenth anniversary, specifically.
But there is one way I thought of to celebrate it, or at least celebrate the date August 12, 2006 itself: by posting the strips that several comics BESIDES mine happened to run on that date or the nearest date possible! In roughly the order that I first became interested in each of these comics!
If any of you have noticed this entry at all, you've probably also noticed that, despite the name "Worries of the Week (or so)", I've only posted one "proper" Worries of the Week (or so) post this year and that was almost four weeks ago.
Yeah, I've rearranged my priorities yet again since then - probably even more than once. Right now my priorities are something like:
1) Homework, other college stuff, daily routines, etc. (which have always been at the top) 2) Find all of the lost Ourswillyouoneupian cave paintings and put them in a display Upload to ScrapBook all of the images that I'd been hosting on my unrelated attachments page on Ours Will You 1-Up up until Google Sites willed me game over, and use that to replace all the image links in my entries and (as far as I know) one of my comments. I also decided that while I do that, I'd do some other random maintenance on my old entries, such as making sure that they all either have repost buttons or "This entry doesn't get a repost button for whatever reason" notices, etc. But who knows, I might change my mind again before I actually get the chance to start on this... 3) Finish updating my glossary of Matt1993isms 4) I haven't decided what'll be after that... Go back to Worries of the Week (or so) for a while? Work on my userpics some more? (speaking of, did anyone besides pathvain_aelien see this?) Catch up on my friends page? Update my profile and interests? Remove some of my least useful tags to make room for more useful ones? Add tags to entries that don't have them yet? Join a friending community? I realize I've posted a poll like this before, but right now I've been having to work mostly on what I think is most likely to help me feel better. And homework, of course.
Speaking of homework, here's how I'm doing in each class so far. My wording is probably going to sound like I'm in a hurry because I kind of am in a hurry - I need to get to bed - but I also don't want to have this entry scheduled to be posted later this time.
I probably could've worded some of this better or explained in more detail but need to go to bed now. Probably some broken LJ-cuts or something somewhere too
This entry doesn't get a repost button because it's friends-only. Yet again.
Hi! I'm Matt Aaron. For more information on what I do most of the time, go to my profile page.
Right now I'm wondering what the next Strong Bad E-mail will be like. You should check them out (on homestarrunner.com); they are really funny and were the inspiration for some of my funny screenshots (again, more info on profile page).
...
Oh, it's no use. The past is gone now (obviously not as much so as I pretended it was in my previous entry, but still), and my journal may never again become as interesting as it used to be no matter how hard I try. Not that an entry that's partly about PrtSc Land could be interesting anyway...
In other news, remember how I said most of my classes this semester were easier than I expected? I don't even think I specifically said that I hadn't had any essays yet, and yet the day after I posted that entry, I got an essay assignment. In Programming Languages class, of all things. Due December 6, but still...
Why does that happen EVERY time I post that classes are going well?!?
Hmm...
I also expected most of my professors to give out a lot of Enya concert tickets and pre-release copies of Super Mario 3D World, but that still hasn't happened at all this semester.
Once I turn in the final copy of my analytical paper and peer review any papers that still haven't been reviewed by 8 PM, I'll have made it through the English class without going insane!
I spent so much time working on this paper and analyzing articles that Rachel Hajar and Geoff Watts (the authors of the first two articles I used for it) have, unlike any other authors of articles I've cited in papers so far, gotten appearances and mentions in a few of my dreams:
And now for something completely different. Funny conversation pathvain_aelien and I had about a week ago:
PATHVAIN_AELIEN: That's because our table is lacking in fruit and vegetable matter and pretty much anything besides pizza matter. ME: At least it's lacking in dark matter. PATHVAIN_AELIEN: I want some dark matter! ME: Might be kinda dangerous, though. PATHVAIN_AELIEN: Well, so is not getting a proper diet with fruits and vegetables!
Today, I accidentally wrote "Pro-Life" instead of "Pro-Test" as one of the sources for my research paper despite the fact that not only are hot-button issues such as abortion off-limits for the topic for our research papers, I would've avoided them even if they had been allowed. The last time I accidentally used the wrong word in a paper in a way that could've made things go badly if I hadn't noticed was over 3 years ago - and unlike that time, it was for a real paper (not just practice for the SAT) and someone else noticed it before I did (fortunately, it was pathvain_aelien who noticed rather than my teacher, but still).
And people still think I won't regress if my mind gets too full of creative vortexes? It's clearly already started!
