Theme: trans & non-binary characters, female characters, outsider pov, post-canon
Summary: In which Ellie desperately tries not to notice some things about Alec, and Alec desperately tries not to notice some things about himself.
Reccer's Notes:
This is a very tender story about the beginnings of how a trans female Alec Hardy might start coming out to herself. It can also be read as a rather subtle getting-together story for the two of them.
Content Notes:
The atmosphere fits the canon, there's always a bit of a desperate undercurrent.
There characters are a bit clumsy and don't know how to navigate the whole figuring-yourself-out stuff, so there's some insensitive and pushing remarks that I feel are very in-character.
The story is tagged for "misgendering" with the additional explanation "but only because hardys deep in the closet" so I wouldn't call it misgendering per se.
I chose the additional theme "outsider pov" because the story about trans Alec is written from Ellie's perspective.
