Deep inside the shattered remains of the Kaled bunker, the Doctor hesitated and stared fixedly at the two wires in his hands.

Jamie gave him a puzzled look. "What's the matter, Doctor?"

The Doctor turned to look at his friend, a strange gleam in his eye. "Jamie, if I simply touch one wire against the other, that's it. The Daleks cease to exist. Hundreds of millions of people, thousands of generations, could live without fear, in peace, and never even know the world Dalek..."

Jamie thought about that for a minute. "Aye... and?"

"Oh, nothing. Just appreciating the moment."
