okay, so this comparison post went through a lot of versions before i settled on this one. i'd been talking a while back about how i thought aiba was starting to look like kimutaku lately WHICH IS NOT A BAD THING, GUISE. but then neocopasetic suggested that kimutaku also looks like hina WHICH IS ALSO TRUE. i started looking around and found a few other johnnys who had kimutaku-esque moments, so i just lumped them all together to make a huge OMG KIMUTAKU IS EVERYWHERE post.

also, off-topic but I FINALLY FINISHED MY "MARVELOUS" ICON. now i just need one of a super-emo jun with "not marvelous" on it. i would only need four icons for the rest of my time on lj: the two jun ones plus the one of koki holding up the NO sign and the one of junno holding up the YES sign. awesome!

to combat my awful week, i'm finally posting a je comparison post that i originally started putting together a few weeks ago. this is the first time it hasn't been asian dude vs. asian dude, so hopefully it still works. there ARE a few probably nsfw pics in this. just a warning.

i'm going to preface this comparison post with this: i know almost nothing about dbsk/tvxq/whatever i'm supposed to call them. i love me some big bang, minwoo, and epik high, but that's pretty much all i know of korean music. that didn't stop me from recognizing changmin as junno's doppleganger, though :) as per usual, click the cut for comparison-ey goodness!

i'd mentioned this in my nino vs ken'ichi post and figured it was high time to give ohno his own comparison post. apparently i'm going through arashi (and toma) before i get to other johnnys. (though i'm branching out to a johnny vs. a kpop idol next and i'm sort of excited) this post... creeped me out a bit? i used to adore tatsuya, mostly because battle royale is still one of my favorite movies, but his face has changed a lot as he's aged. still has that ohno-look, but it was a little depressing to look at photos from the "yuragi" photobook (super-twinky) one minute, and see him in the "chameleon" photobook (super... aged.) the next. oy. ohno, on the other hand, is the japanese dorian gray, so he's always pleasant to see grow down.

welp. i feel much better. so here's a slightly cracked-out excerpt in the je comparison series: arashi vs. animals. most people call sho a chipmunk (and i will in here too - it's too perfect) and apparently ohno gets called various rodent names as well, but i don't really hear fandom talk about nino, jun and aiba.

LUCKILY I HAVE BEEN SICK AND BORED ALL DAY. also i may be hallucinating or something, so forgive me if these don't even remotely make sense. uh, as usual, here we go:

happy friday the 13th! have a gift!

somehow this post is longer than my previous two in the series, even though i saw the other two with my own eyes and this one had to be pointed out to me. huh. i really did start to see how toma and teppei look alike once i got into this, though. it was pretty amazing.

and a little side note: alyssa knows a very small amount of information about any je artists, but she knows the most about kat-tun. i showed alyssa this photo and she brought her knowledge of kat-tun (and subsequently, her knowledge of the "fat jin" nickname) full circle:

alyssa: even the fan's behind a barrier. i love how they freaked out so much.
me: i hope he doesn't think americans are nuts.
alyssa: you know he went back to japan and was like, "AMERICA SUCKS. THAT FAT GUY FROM THE OTHER JAPANESE BOYBAND LIED TO ME."

so this was a lot harder than i thought it'd be. mizushima hiro and matsumoto jun look similar when they're apart but not so much when they're side-by-side. so this is again a little small because i really tried to find photos where they had significant similarities.

somehow, matsuyama ken'ichi has morphed into nino. i've seen him in the death note movies and sexy voice and robo and never even remotely thought of this connection before. but suddenly he's sort of nino-like? it was bugging me as i was watching the newest zeni geba, so i started screencapping and comparing with nino pictures i had.

mini-picspam sort of? mostly in hopes that someone else sees it too and can confirm that i'm not crazy.

so here we go.

as a direct result of this, i'll be posting a similar picspam of matsujun/mizushima hiro because i'm constantly fascinated by my adoration for hiro and my total dislike of jun, yet i know they look a lot alike. it's like the kame/aoi picspam all over again!

i should be trolling the internet for high-quality georgia o'keefe painting images, but instead i'm working out something that's been nagging me for a while.

DUDES AOI FROM GAZETTE IS TOTALLY KAME FROM THE FUTURE. i am serious.

i don't even know. i'm somehow not able to tell people apart suddenly. i feel like my sister, who had no idea that oshinari shugo was NOT fujiwara tatsuya (who, by the way, has suddenly become much uglier?) until they actually came face-to-face in battle royale II. oh booie bear, with your lack of recognition skills. <3
