2010 nnwm procrastinator

A 3-in-1 entry that has too much topic jumping & managed to be 10, 14, and 17 days late all at once

By now you no doubt have heard the news about Satoru Iwata, Nintendo's president. :(

I intended to write a tribute to him as soon as I had heard the news (a very short tribute, of course, because I'm still not a very good writer), but I ended up putting it off until the 14th, which was my birthday, and every time I want to post about something sad and something fun at the same time, I'm faced with the decision of: Do I try and write one entry about both topics, with some sort of "On a happier note..." transition? Do I post two entries in one day? Do I just pick one and post about it?

ALL of those options have either always worked out badly for me in the past or have never been tried because I KNEW they'd work out badly, hence why I ended up not even posting at all on the 14th. I was considering waiting until the 18th to post about my birthday anyway since that's when my birthday party was, but I still ended up procrastinating so long that by the 18th I was in the same scenario: ready to post about my birthday party, but I still hadn't posted about Iwata, and still didn't know how I should go about writing about either topic.

And then, as you can tell, I ended up procrastinating even further because I feel like there's a huge hole in my journal now there's three consecutive entries that I'm posting way too late. At this point, I think the only way I might be able to make myself not feel this way is if I ask you to pretend that this entry doesn't exist but the three below do and were posted on the dates listed. (note: this probably doesn't matter at all, but I don't know whether or not the repost buttons will work correctly...)

At MATT93*, victory shall be mine!...Or maybe not.

This past week has been pretty stressful, because even with pathvain_aelien's help, both my Computer Science essay and my career portfolio took all weekend because I kept procrastinating throughout the week. But at least it's over now and there's much less homework this week!

Remember those unusual online clocks I found? I found another one, which was part of the reason I was procrastinating so much:

http://base36.org/

This one doesn't seem to have as much potential as the rest, though; it's only synchronized to seconds, thus causing the other units to be "36 seconds", "about one third of an hour", "about 13 hours", "about 19½ days", and "about 23 months", which don't correlate very well to the normal clock or calendar system. Still interesting, though!

Two more world domination quizzes:

And another completely random quiz:

I find it depressingly ironic that the one person on here that I've actually thought was dead (several times) ended up being the squirrel that died... I'M SORRY FOR NOT PICKING "AWWW, HOW SAD"! :( :( :(

*This date and time in the Base 36 clock is actually not too far off; it's on September 23, 2012. Hmm...

YES!

I caught up on my LJ friends page for the first time in months! Go me!!!

Also took the first quiz in a while...

Unfortunately, I've still got homework to work on, so I won't get to put tags on this entry yet :(

infinite-paragraph essay

Author cancelled...almost literally this time!

It's 8:35PM on a school night, which means I have to get off the computer in 55 minutes. To win NNWM, I would have to write 17,169 more words. This means that I would have to type at over 312 WPM in order to finish on time.

*sigh* My only chance at being creative enough to participate in NaNoWriMo, and I blew it by procrastinating too much.

GAME OVER

Doot-doot-doot, doot-doot-doot-doot, doot doot doot... (that's supposed to be the game over music from Super Mario Galaxy & Super Mario Galaxy 2)

I'm still gonna write Moya's Space Log for y'all, though!

infinite-paragraph essay

3 hours and 55 minutes to go

Out of the exams I took today, I'm the most confident about the anatomy exam, since my teacher graded all of the exams before class ended and said I made an A+. I'm the second-most confident about the Bible exam since all four students were allowed to take it as a group, then history because although I only forgot the answers to two short-answer questions, I didn't have a lot of time to write the essay (though it didn't have to be five-paragraph).

Tomorrow is an English exam consisting of four essay questions. Blah.
