Miiverse Backup Twuednesday: Posts from 12/25/2012

You know how I decided at the last minute (or so) to request a backup of my Miiverse posts before Miiverse shut down? The backup arrived on December 4, and shortly after that I decided I might as well actually DO something with my Miiverse posts: archive them on LiiveJournal and DriimWidth! yeah okay that was too much of a stretch for even Wii Fit Trainer to handle

But I didn't get around to doing so until now when I had the idea of archiving just a few posts at a time.

I can't guarantee I'll stick to an update schedule, but my plan is that every week, on Tuesday or Wednesday (for two reasons: I thought of this plan on a Tuesday, and Miiverse was shut down at a time that for me was midnight between a Tuesday and a Wednesday), I'll post an entry with a few of my Miiverse posts in it, starting from my first posts ever and going in chronological order.

(Currently I'm planning on it being five posts at a time except whenever posting four or six instead better separates my archive into easy-to-describe time periods like "12/25/2012" or "July 2014". Though I might group all Miiverse posts from the same day together even if there's a lot of them, as opposed to "all Miiverse posts from MM/DD/201Y before HH:00" or something one week and "...MM/DD/201Y after HH:00" the next week. I dunno yet.)

Good game so far! Though am I the only one who didn't figure out how to use Miiverse until after W2?

Yoshis can eat Baby Yoshis? That's... a bit disturbing...

57 18

(This, my third Miiverse post ever out of 256, and the first one with a drawing in it, somehow had more Yeahs and more comments than any of my other posts. I think. I don't remember any of the others having 57+ Yeahs or 18+ comments, anyway.)

(I hadn't figured out how to post from in-game yet, but if I had, it would say that the level was Spinning-Star Sky. Not sure what level inspired me to post the one with the vine though.)
2010 nnwm procrastinator

A 3-in-1 entry that has too much topic jumping & managed to be 10, 14, and 17 days late all at once

By now you no doubt have heard the news about Satoru Iwata, Nintendo's president. :(

I intended to write a tribute to him as soon as I had heard the news (a very short tribute, of course, because I'm still not a very good writer), but I ended up putting it off until the 14th, which was my birthday, and every time I want to post about something sad and something fun at the same time, I'm faced with the decision of: Do I try and write one entry about both topics, with some sort of "On a happier note..." transition? Do I post two entries in one day? Do I just pick one and post about it?

ALL of those options have either always worked out badly for me in the past or have never been tried because I KNEW they'd work out badly, hence why I ended up not even posting at all on the 14th. I was considering waiting until the 18th to post about my birthday anyway since that's when my birthday party was, but I still ended up procrastinating so long that by the 18th I was in the same scenario: ready to post about my birthday party, but I still hadn't posted about Iwata, and still didn't know how I should go about writing about either topic.

And then, as you can tell, I ended up procrastinating even further because I feel like there's a huge hole in my journal now there's three consecutive entries that I'm posting way too late. At this point, I think the only way I might be able to make myself not feel this way is if I ask you to pretend that this entry doesn't exist but the three below do and were posted on the dates listed. (note: this probably doesn't matter at all, but I don't know whether or not the repost buttons will work correctly...)
