Ogrenix (オーガニクス, Ōganikusu?), also known as Organics, The Ogre, Ogre Nix or Organyx, is a recurring weapon in the Final Fantasy series. It is often a mid-ranked weapon with mediocre power, and usually boosts some type of special ability.

Final Fantasy VI

Organic blade that uses MP to deal criticals. May break.Description

Organyx (originally called Ogre Nix) is a high-ranked weapon Terra, Edgar, and Celes can use. It has an attack power of 182 and consumes 10 MP each hit for an automatic critical hit, but has a chance of breaking after each use. It also enables the Bushido and Runic commands.

It can be acquired by betting the Flametongue, Icebrand, Thunder Blade, or Zantetsuken in the Dragon's Neck Coliseum. It can also be metamorphed from Gigantos, Glasya Labolas, Hill Gigas, and Muud Suud. The Organyx is affected by the Capture glitch as well as certain bugs exclusive to it.

The chance of breaking is calculated as follow:

If [0...(last digit of attacker's HP + 1)] = 0 then the Organyx breaks

Final Fantasy VII

Organics is a mid-ranked weapon for Cloud, and can be bought at Icicle Inn for 12,000 gil. It provides +63 Attack, 103% Attack%, +15 Magic, Cut attribute, and has six Materia slots, with four being linked.

Final Fantasy IX

Main article: The Ogre (Final Fantasy IX)

The Ogre is a mid-ranked weapon for Zidane obtained by synthesizing two Mage Mashers or found inside a treasure chest at Pinnacle Rocks. It provides +24 Attack, has innate Darkness status, and teaches the ability Soul Blade. It appears as two Mage Mashers combined. It costs 700 gil to synthesize at Lindblum, Treno, Alexandria, and Black Mage Village.

Final Fantasy X

The Ogre is a claw for Rikku, and possesses any three Magic Plus % abilities.

Final Fantasy XI

Organics is a high-level knight sword, which increases Strength, Attack, and critical hit rate at a cost of reducing maximum HP. It is dropped from the Achamoth.

Final Fantasy XII

Although it does not appear as a weapon, the Ogrenix is mentioned as the name of one of the attack squads in Ondore's resistance fleet alongside the Flametongue attack squad.

The Organyx is a model of a gunblade for Lightning. It has the most growth in Strength and Magic value among her weapons, reaching 750 STR and 750 MAG if upgraded to the maximum level in its final form. As a balancing factor, Organyx also has the trait, Leadenstrike, which slows ATB speed by 70%. Leadenstrike's effect is decreased as Organyx is transmuted into its second form, Apocalypse. The Organyx can be bought at Retail Network at Gilgamesh Inc for 280,000 gil.

A glitch was discovered in November 2024: Ironstrike and Leadenstrike are canceled by the Hidden Ability Boost (which increases the ATB speed).

Final Fantasy XV

Daggers can be equipped by Noctis and Ignis.

Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift

Ogrenix is a mid-level greatsword that teaches Sanctify to Paladins, Full Assault to Ravagers, and Sword of Light to Lanistas. It provides +47 Attack and can be bought for 5,600 gil in the shop after creating it in the Bazaar after using a Zodiac Ore, Zingu Pearl, and Pagoda Wood.

Final Fantasy Type-0

Rem can equip the Ogyrenyxes, a pair of daggers. They provide 9 Attack Power and are bought from Rokol for 1600 gil.

Final Fantasy Dimensions

Ogrenix is a water-elemental sword bought for 8300 gil from Fabrica and Gardenia (After Imperial Forward Camp). It has 49 attack power and 20 critical rate.

Dissidia Final Fantasy (2008)

The Ogrenix is a level 50 greatsword that increases physical damage by 10% and boosts +37 Attack. It can be obtained from the shop by trading 16,280 gil, a Zweihander, Gigas Bone, and Transmogridust.

Zidane also uses The Ogre from Final Fantasy IX by fusing both of his Mage Mashers when executing most of his Brave and HP Attacks and most notably his EX Burst Reverse Gaia. This is a reference to the synthesis in Final Fantasy IX.

Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy

The Ogre is a weapon that is used throughout various attacks with Zidane as in the previous game. The Ogrenix is a level 90 greatsword that provides +64 Attack, -1 Defense, and +7% Physical damage. It can be obtained by trading 158,000 gil, the Defender, Bahamut's Horn, and Soldier's Hope x5.

Dissidia Final Fantasy NT

The Organyx is one of Cloud's unlockable weapons, and loosely resembles the weapon from Final Fantasy VII. It can only be obtained by purchasing it as DLC from the PlayStation Store. Like all other characters' weapons, having it equipped offers no advantages or disadvantages.

Dissidia Final Fantasy Opera Omnia

Four versions of the weapon were available:

Organyx (VI) was Terra's 70 CP EX Weapon, which allowed her to use the EX Ability Riot Blade, as well as the abilities Mighty Riot Blade, Riot Blade Buff Plus, and Riot Blade Recast Up.

Organyx (VII) was a 5★ Greatsword for Cloud that enabled access to the ability Blade of Ruin. It provided 90 HP, 55 DEF, 145-220 iBRV, 1926-2616 mBRV, 653-878 ATK, and added 15-30 CP.

Organics (VIII) was a LD Greatsword for Squall that enabled access to the LD ability, Rough Divide, as well as the abilities Mighty Rough Divide, Solid Barrel & Renzokuken Buff Starting Roaring Hammer Longer, and Charged Rough Divide++. It provided 80 HP, 49 DEF, 265-339 iBRV, 2982-3432 mBRV, 994-1144 ATK, and added 90-100 CP.

The Ogre (IX) was a LD Dagger for Zidane that enabled access to the LD ability, Solution 9, as well as the abilities Solution 9 Power, A Place to Call Home Longer, and Solution 9 Charge. It provided 115 HP, 55 DEF, 264-339 iBRV, 2946-3396 mBRV, 970-1120 ATK, and added 90-100 CP.

Pictlogica Final Fantasy

Ogrenix was a rarity 5 knight sword that provided a minimum of 105 Attack and 13 HP, and a maximum of 160 Attack and 43 HP. It could be upgraded to rarity 7 where it provided a minimum of 144 Attack and 24 HP, a maximum of 216 Attack and 72 HP, and Limit Break +1000.

Organyx granted +3 to Attack. It could be equipped by Knight, Mystic Knight, Cecil, Bartz, Cloud, Squall, Seifer, Steiner, and Vaan.

Organyx has 104 (max 210) physical attack, 70 (max 120) physical accuracy, 20 (max 40) magic attack, 57 (max 110) magic recovery, and 70 (max 120) magic accuracy. It has the Conserve AP -15 trait and is made with Bastion Stone x2, Revenant Fire x2, and Howling Magethyst x5 for 1828 gil.

Final Fantasy Brave Exvius

A large sword imbued with dark power. The blade is a deep purple, reminiscent to the depth of dark, and yields the power of dark within. The power of dark has long been a subject of fear to many, and a bringer of calm to others. Likewise, this sword may either bring fear or calm depending on its user.Description

The Organyx served as Veritas of the Dark's signature weapon. It was a moderately powerful greatsword that increased ATK by 74 and added the dark element to the wielder’s physical abilities. The Organyx was obtained in the story event "Time for Revenge" focusing on the Sworn Six of Paladia.
