The Obelisk (オベリスク, Oberisuku?), also known as Oberisk, is a recurring spear in the Final Fantasy series. It is often a mid or high-ranked spear with high Attack power and is commonly used by dragoons.

Final Fantasy IV: The After Years
Obelisk is a spear for Kain, Ceodore, and Zangetsu. It provides 85 Attack and +5 Strength and can only be retrieved through Kain's Challenge Dungeon on the last floor.
Final Fantasy IX
The Obelisk is a mid-ranked spear for Freya that grants 52 Attack. It has the innate ability to inflict Petrify when used with the Add Status ability. It teaches the abilities Cherry Blossom and Initiative. It is bought in Daguerreo for 6,000 gil before entering the Shimmering Island portal. It is a missable weapon.
Final Fantasy XI
Obelisk is a low level spear dropped from the Orcish NM "Thousandarm Deshglesh" in Ghelsba Outpost. It can be upgraded to the mid-level Obelisk Lance by crafters.
Final Fantasy XII
Obelisk is a mid-ranked spear. In the PlayStation 2, an Attack Power of 60 that requires 30 LP and the Spears 4 license to use. It can be bought in the Mosphoran Highwaste and the Phon Coast for 7,500 gil, and is also available through the Hunt Club.
In the Zodiac versions, it now provides 68 Attack, 8 Evade, 28 CT, 4% Combo Rate, and requires the Spears 3 license for 60 LP. It can be bought in Mt Bur-Omisace and Mosphoran Highwaste for 9,200 gil, found as a treasure in Dalmasca Estersand (Broken Sands) and Stilshrine of Miriam (Walk of Reason), and drops from Anchag (3% chance). It can be equipped by the Uhlan class.
Spears are among the faster weapons, second only to daggers and ninja swords.

The obelisk (Oberisk in the PlayStation version) is a spear with an attack power of 12 and weapon defense of 10%. It can be bought for 10,000 gil at castle town outfitters after the events in Fort Besselat in chapter 4, and found with the Treasure Hunter ability in the Limberry Castle Undercroft as rare treasure. It can also be caught from level 90–94 enemy ninja in Midlight's Deep. Randomly-spawned enemy dragoons wield the obelisk from level 29 onward.

Obelisk is the third strongest spear in terms of attack, and can only be used by Lilties. It provides 116 attack at level 1 and 173 attack at level 30, gives +25 to Stun, and has two empty slots.
It must be obtained from a chest in Ruins 2 on Hard or Very Hard mode, and then created for 1,050 gil by using Orichalcum x3, Platinum x5, and a Mu Nose. When turned into a jewel, a level 3-9 Obelisk makes an Anti-Stun Stone 1, level 10-19 makes a Dark Stone 3, and level 20-30 makes a Might Malachite: L.

An obelisk is a tall, four-sided, narrow tapering monument which ends in a pyramid-like shape at the top, and is said to resemble a petrified ray of the sun-disk. A pair of obelisks usually stood in front of a pylon.
