Light Switch 02 is an Artificial Intelligence at Big MT in Fallout: New Vegas.
Background[edit]
Light Switch 02 was a personal assistant to Doctor Mobius, with the two studying how lighting affects human interaction.[1] The two discovered that "pretty colored lights" can improve the ability to have conversations with others.[2] The experiments resulted in the Mood Lights module, though only a backup copy exists.[3]
She dislikes Light Switch 01, calling her a "rigid little ice queen."[4] She states that 01 "thinks she's so much better than everybody" due to having larger processors.[5] 01 mentions that she tried to get along with 02, but that she is "such a... floozy!"[6] In addition, 01 considers her own project with Mobius to be "more significant" and "more intense" that 02's.[7]
Gameplay[edit]
During the quest All My Friends Have Off Switches, the player is tasked with retrieving personality modules for The Sink, which includes Light Switch 02. During Influencing People, the player is tasked with retrieving upgrades for the The Sink personalities which includes the Light Switch 02 Upgrade: "Mood Lights".
Activating the Mood Lighting upgrade results in a bonus of +2 Charisma, as well +5 to Barter and Speech skills for 12 hours. Without the upgrade, the player will only be able to activate normal lights in The Sink.
If the player has the Lady Killer or Cherchez La Femme perks, the player is granted a unique flirting dialogue option when speaking to her the first time. In response, if either "Only the sexy ones" or "Never. I'm all yours, baby" are chosen as a follow-up, she will give the player a copy of Meeting People to "remember [her] by."[8][9]

- The Mood Lights effect will only activate if the player speaks to Light Switch 02. Only visiting the room to regain the bonus will have no effect otherwise.
