Au where Fangxin Guoshi!Xie Lian is outside with Lang Qianqiu one day, practicing the sword or something, when xl's amazing luck strikes and he trips over a rock. The mask goes flying, and before he can put it back on, lqq has already glimpsed his face. But lqq, being lqq, doesn't yet make the connection between his Shifu and the last Crown Prince of Xianle. (Though he now is confused on why Fangxin hides his face.) So they kinda just pretend it didn't happen, lqq out of respect for his teacher.
That is, until one day, xl is teaching him about the history of Yong'an, with the war and all, and in the history book he sees an image of Xie Lian. They then awkwardly stare at each other for a good five minutes.
