Because I have spent the last
two days hunting down an obscure Henry Mancini tune. (Along the way, I got to see
Charade again. I
never tire of Cary Grant.) The one clue I had was what it sounded like, which meant I got to listen to a
lot of atmospheric orchestral pieces that were not what I wanted, though evocative of different memories. I cut the strings with WatchMojo's Top Tens (speaking of time sinks) and the occasional Fleetwood Mac, and finally--
finally--found the right number.
It's called
"Floating Pad." It's on "Mr. Lucky and Mr. Lucky Goes Latin." (We probably had "Mr. Lucky Goes Latin" because Dad bought several Latin or Latin-flavored albums in the early '60s.) You probably won't like it.
