Ursula is one of the Four Fangs, an enemy character in Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade sent out to kill Eliwood, and is later resurrected as a morph by Nergal.
Profile
Ursula is unique amongst the Four Fangs, as she is the only one who specializes in magic. She is known as the Blue Crow amongst the Black Fang members. She shows complete devotion to Brendan Reed's new wife, Sonia, and seems to be aware of the fact that Sonia is a subordinate to Nergal.
Ursula is first seen in Chapter 7x of Lyn's story, where she assigns a Black Fang operative, Beyard, to recapture the children, Ninian and Nils, for reasons unknown at the time. She is not seen again until the chapter Kinship's Bond, where the Four Fangs are assigned to kill the lords Eliwood, Hector, and Lyndis. The Four Fangs were deceived by Sonia that the three lords were corrupt nobles who had to be stopped. Later, Ursula is seen in another chapter, handing the tactician a Hammerne staff because, despite her orders to kill the lords, she did not want Vaida to succeed in doing so.
Ursula is seen for a fourth time in the chapter Battle Before Dawn, where she witnesses Jaffar attempting to escape after abandoning his assignment to kill Prince Zephiel for King Desmond, and Nino for Sonia. Ursula then takes it upon herself to execute the law of the Fang and kill the two traitors, in addition to completing the assassination of Zephiel. Eliwood, Hector, and Lyn arrive at the same time, and Ursula battles both groups. Ursula ultimately fails, either dying in the battle or, if she survives the battle, is killed by Limstella for failing in her duties. Her quintessence is harvested by Limstella for Nergal either way.
Ursula is seen one last time in Final Chapter: Light, as a morph created by Nergal's magic. She wields the powerful tome Giga Excalibur, which the player receives upon her defeat.
Personality
Ursula is an extremely devoted member of the Black Fang, seen as a cold, heartless assassin to her targets. She never hesitates to coldly remind those under her the punishment for failure, and expresses little concern for any members of the Black Fang, with the exception of Sonia, whom she worships (her last words, in example, are a last request to give Sonia a report about the situation in the Bern Manse). She is also rather honorable, accepting the Fang's Judgment for failing to accomplish her target should she survive Battle Before Dawn. She expresses deep dislike of Vaida, most likely because of her treachery toward Bern, and possible fear of losing her place.

Overall
Ursula is the third of the Four Fangs encountered in a chapter, and the second faced as a boss (excluding Jaffar). Despite being a Valkyrie, Ursula has well-rounded stats and is skilled in anima magic, expressed when facing her with Bolting and Elfire. Her offensive magic is extremely dangerous, and, due to her chapter's nature as a Fog of War mission, has a tendency to catch players completely by surprise with her deadly Bolting tome. Her tendency to use Bolting can prove to be her downfall, however, as its immense weight slows her down tremendously, leaving her to rely only on her mediocre defense and HP for protection.
Ursula is particularly dangerous on Hector Hard mode. She can kill Nino and Zephiel in one round with ease with her Bolting, and the A.I controlled Nino has a tendency to wander within her range.
She returns as a morph in the final chapter, with increased stats (though interestingly her Resistance has dropped by 3 points) and the tome Giga Excalibur.

Base Set
Ursula is a Book I Grand Hero Battle unit and the first obtainable Blue Tome Cavalry units in the game. This served as both a blessing as it gave her a unique role as a highly mobile offensive threat, though she would be easily eclipsed by Reinhardt who was introduced slightly after her with a much more powerful tome. Nonetheless, Ursula has decent 32 Spd that let her perform reliable follow-up attacks against certain foes and her 65 magical bulk score was decent for her introductory period, letting her take a stray hit or two from fellow tomes. Her downsides include her rather mediocre 29 Atk, which hampered her damage output as time progressed and bulkier units began to emerge simply by being introduced later with better standard starting stats. Her 19 Def also leaves her tremendously vulnerable to physical units and can be felled easily when she is initiated upon. Ursula was greatly helped by having a Resplendent form to give her much needed stats and her status as a Grand Hero Battle unit allows her to merge up easily since she does not require orbs to acquire additional copies.
Blárwolf deals effective damage against cavalry units, allowing Ursula to check some problematic units at her time such as Reinhardt and Brave Lyn so long as she was the one initiating combat. She later received her own personal Blue-Crow Tome, giving her a stronger Blárwolf tome. When refined, she gained Atk during combat equal to the total stat penalties on her foe when calculating damage. Ursula, through her base weapons, is a cavalry destroyer and is best suited for that task if deciding to focus on her base build.
Rising Thunder allows Ursula to deal AoE damage to foes before combat once charged, though he lacking Atk often lead to less than meaningful damage before hand. Death Blow increases her Atk by 6 if she initiates combat. Threaten Resistance inflicts a Res-5 penalty on her foe after combat.
Counters
Ursula is easily walled by any unit with decent magical bulk such as Camilla, Sheena and even Anna. Any unit that can survive a hit from her and can retaliate, like Hector will immediately destroy her without much effort. In fact, any physical unit with mediocre or better Atk will likely obliterate her in a single round of combat. Ironically as a Cavalry check, she is dealt with easily by Cavalry weapons herself. Micaiah is an immediate hard counter due to her superior magical bulk and Thani's cavalry effectiveness destroys her.
Skill Inheritance
Due to her Grand Hero Battles unit status, Ursula needs to have a Trait Fruit invested to give her an Asset, of which Attack or Spd are her best choices to improve her raw offenses. She could consider her Res too, though it is only to give her the means to better soak a magical hit if needed.
Giving her Reposition is her best Support skill given her superior movement. Moonbow allows her to ignore 30% of her foe's Res whenever it activates for her attack or Glimmer pairs nicely with the Atk boost of her Blue-Crow Tome. Since she is missing her B Skill, she can fill it easily with Desperation to allow her to capitalize on her solid Spd and score an immediate follow-up attack over her foe should she be in the damage threshold to activate it.
Replacing her other existing skills may help her better in the long run. Fury gives her a better flat stat boost and the recoil will pair well with Desperation. Swift Sparrow or other Atk/Spd boosting skills boost her two best stats and lets her better check her primary targets of Cavalry units. Atk/Spd Trace or Atk/Res Trace skills allows Ursula to engage enemies and then Canto out of danger. Hone Cavalry lets her support fellow Cavalry units while more proactive Smoke skills, especially Speed Smoke or Resistance Smoke can soften enemies for herself or her allies.

Etymology
The name means 'little bear' in Latin. The legendary saint Ursula was martyred by Huns while on a pilgrimage.
Trivia
- Though extremely devoted to Sonia, Ursula is still suspicious of her when ordered to kill the Lycian Lords. Nevertheless, Ursula obeys the orders and still seems to worship Sonia.
- In Chapter 24 (E)/26 (H), you can see her in a village at the bottom of the map and she will give you a Hammerne.
- In Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon, Ursula shares her name with Etzel's deceased wife.
- Additionally, the two Ursulas are also magic users.
- Ursula, at Level 15, oddly has more resistance than her morph, which is at Level 20.
- In Fire Emblem Heroes, Ursula's Grand Hero Battle map is based on The Blazing Blade Chapter 26E/28H.
