Heavenly Axis (ヘヴンズアクシズ, Hevunzu Akushizu?, lit. Heaven's Axis) is a recurring weapon in the Final Fantasy series.

The Heavenly Axis is a weapon for Yuna, obtainable if the dominant abilities on any rod are Triple Overdrive, Triple AP, and Overdrive → AP.

Final Fantasy XIII

Heavenly Axis is a weapon for Vanille. It is her handicap weapon, with good magic stats but the Stagger Lock trait that means she cannot be the one to stagger the enemy though she can still drive up the chain gauge. It can be bought from Gilgamesh, Inc. later into the game. It upgrades into the Abraxas. However, Vanille has other weapons with equally good magic stat when fully upgraded into the ultimate tier, and so the player will likely rather want to upgrade the Pearlwing Staff or Belladonna Wand.

Etymology

[view · edit · purge]Heaven is a common religious, cosmological, or transcendent place where heavenly beings such as gods, angels, jinn, saints, or venerated ancestors are said to originate, be enthroned, or to live. According to the beliefs of some religions, heavenly beings can descend to earth or incarnate, and earthly beings can ascend to Heaven in the afterlife, or in exceptional cases enter Heaven alive.
