Binding Rod (バインドロッド, Baindo Roddo?, lit. Bind Rod) is a recurring weapon in the Final Fantasy series. It is Oerba Dia Vanille's default weapon.

The Binding Rod is Vanille's starting weapon, which she recovers from the Pulse Vestige when she and Hope Estheim crash their aerobike there. It has more strength than magic and is thus usually quickly outclassed as Vanille excels in magic use over physical offense; in fact, she loses the Attack command after the Crystarium system opens and cannot re-acquire it until Chapter 9 when she can use Commando. The weapon can also be bought in Up in Arms for 2,500 gil. At max level it dismantles into 13x Begrimed Claws and 1x Blue Mycelium.

Final Fantasy XIV

The Binding Rod is a Wand for Conjurers. It could be acquired from the Lightning Strikes event and can otherwise be purchased on the Mog Station. While it may prove useful to low-level conjurers, it's mainly used for glamours.
