A Saturnite Artillery Shell is a world object found in Big MT.
Background[edit]
Created by Big MT Research and Development to test the military applications for Saturnite. Specifically, these artillery shells were created to be used by fixed artillery pieces. Testing was carried out under the "X-7" program, with X-7a "Left Field" Artillery Launch and X-7b "Boom Town" Target Zone conducting the tests, however some of the shells overshot the target zone and impacted near the X-8 Research Center.
Gameplay[edit]
Compared to standard howitzer shells, Saturnite Artillery Shells differ only in color when it comes to appearance. These shells are turquoise blue with the Saturnite logo on them, rather than the olive drab with faded military markings seen on the standard shells. The Saturnite shells are also radioactive, as an undetonated shell near X-8 emits radiation while the X-7b target zone is heavily irradiated and has puddles of a plasma like radioactive fluid inside of the shells impact craters.
Locations[edit]
- X-7a "Left Field" Artillery Launch - 20 can be found scattered around, and an infinite amount of shells can be fired from the fixed artillery piece towards the X-7b "Boom Town" Target Zone.
- X-7b "Boom Town" Target Zone - Two shells that failed to detonate after being fired can be found in impact craters within the target zone.
- X-8 Research Center - A single undetonated shell can be found in an impact crater near the center's entrance.
- Loading Station - Three shells can be found next to some crates below the stairs leading to the Waste Disintegration Platform.
- Saturnite Alloy Research Facility - Several shells can be found in and around the facility.
