Program Notes
The music of my country is very special to me. When I reflect on this statement, I find myself as a “creator” completely inseparable from the cultural roots of my country. This mood leads me to have a very special affection for this work, which was born in a fiery gesture that had its origin in various traditional Portuguese themes. Interlace was found to be the most appropriate title for this amount of timeless “artistic” relations, being at the same time an anagram of "clarinete," the instrument featured in this work.
