Star Studio18 is an Indian film production company. It was formed by 20th Century Fox and Asia's STAR TV (later in 2011 as Star India, now known as Disney Star; both News Corporation subsidiaries at the time) as Fox Star Studios in 2008 to distribute any film from 20th Century Fox in India or produce Bollywood hits such as My Name is Khan. The first film they distributed was Australia, and the first Bollywood movie they distributed was the British-produced Slumdog Millionaire (as Slumdog Crorepati). Previously, Fox operated an Indian branch until 2005 when it was closed down. Distribution of Fox titles in that region would be handled by Warner Bros. Pictures until 2008. On January 17, 2020, The Walt Disney Company announced that 20th Century Fox would be rebranded to 20th Century Studios; however, Fox Star Studios retained its name until May 27, 2022, when the parent company Disney announced that it would remove "Fox" from the company's name, presumably to avoid confusion with Fox Corporation, renaming it to Star Studios, exactly two years after Disney began dropping the Fox name from several sister units including 20th Century Studios. It wouldn't have an on-screen logo until September 9, 2022, with the release of Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva.
After the 2024 merger of Viacom18 with Disney Star formed JioStar, it was announced in August 2025 that the studio would be renamed Star Studio18, following Viacom18 Studios being absorbed into the new company. The first film with the new studio's name was Jolly LLB 3, released in India on September 19, 2025.
My Name is Khan (2010): The still variant of the logo slowly zooms out.
Cuckoo (2014): The logo has a bluer sky background.
Sadak 2 (2020): The print logo is used.
Visuals: Same as the 2009-2020 20th Century Fox logo, but the text on the standard structure is instead replaced by "FOX STAR STUDIOS", with STAR TV's 1998 star symbol next to "STAR" and fitting snugly below the "X" while piercing the lines above it.

Variants:
Sometimes, a static version of the logo (which is an edit of the 1994 TCF logo) is used.
A prototype version of the logo exists. Like the prototype TCF logo, white wireframes appear when the logo is in its position.
Open-matte versions of the logo exist.
Sometimes, the registered trademark sign is removed from the logo.
A filmed version can be seen on Raja Rani.
Starting with the release of Bullett Raja on November 28, 2013 in the U.S. and a day later in India, the News Corporation byline is excluded and the logo is bylineless for the first time ever, due to the aforementioned split on June 28, 2013.
Closing Variants: Commonly, no closing logo is used at all, with a few exceptions:
On films such as Shikara, the print logo is seen, scrolling with the credits.
On films such as Hawaa Hawaai, a still image of the opening logo appears on a rectangular box.
On Jannat 2, the 1994 TCF-styled version of the logo is seen on a square box.
Technique: CGI by the now-defunct Blue Sky Studios. As with the final 20th Century Fox logo, this was made using Autodesk Maya.
Audio: The 1998 revision of the 1997 Fox fanfare composed by David Newman. None for the still version.
Availability: The logo can be found on any movie distributed by Fox Star Studios in India.
The still version can be found on the trailers for Quick Gun Murugun (2009) and My Name is Khan (2010), however, the full logo does not appear on the former, as the Indian division of 20th Century Fox distributed it instead.
The last film to use this logo with the News Corporation byline was Raja Rani, released on September 27, 2013.
This logo replaces the final 20th Century Fox logo on Indian releases of Epic, with the logo for Blue Sky Studios intact.
On U.S. releases of Dum Maaro Dum, the Fox Searchlight Pictures logo appears instead.
The last film to use this logo was Kaun Pravin Tambe?, released on April 1, 2022 on Disney+ Hotstar. This logo was discontinued afterwards.
Babli Bouncer (2022): The alternate print logo is magenta on a blue background, and is surrounded by lightning bolts in the same color as the logo, a pair of shoes, a dumbbell, a cup and a cookie.
Visuals: The design is similar to the Fox Star Studios logo, except "FOX" has been removed from the top of the structure, and with Star India's 2011 logo taking the place of the letter "A" (in the same manner as its Disney+ Star content hub and Star+ logo). The word "STUDIOS" is also in a different font and larger to accommodate the size of the structure, and the registered symbol is also removed as well. The overall design of the logo is based on the 20th Century Studios logo, albeit with some altered details, such as the Hollywood sign being removed and a searchlight unseen in the original logo appearing behind the front-left searchlight.
Closing Variant: At the end of films, the print logo is seen, scrolling with the credits.
Technique: CGI, based on Picturemill's revision of 20th Century's now-defunct animated sibling company Blue Sky Studios' work of the final 20th Century Fox logo, possibly done in Cinema 4D.
Audio: An Indian-themed rearrangement of the 20th Century Studios fanfare composed by Pranay Rijia, with the flute played by Rajeev Prasanna. A riff is added at the end of the fanfare as well.
Availability:
It debuted as a print logo on posters and on-screen as a variant.
The full logo then debuted theatrically in Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva, released on September 9, 2022, in theatres and later on Babli Bouncer, released on September 23 that same year on Disney+ Hotstar.
The last film to be released under the Star Studios name was Sarzameen, released on July 25, 2025 on JioHotstar. This logo was discontinued afterwards.
Jolly LLB 3 (2025): The logo is skewed up in maroon, with the lines atop the "T" and the tagline in yellow, and is set against the same background as the trailer's title card.
Visuals: The sequence starts with a theater at nighttime, where the screen zooms out to reveal the marquee, which reads "NOW SHOWING" and [name of the film] below it. Atop the marquee is a clip from the film being watched. The screen pans up to see a clip from Dangal (replacing the Bhaag Milkha Bhaag clip from the 2018 Viacom18 Studios logo) and two buildings are shown, also having clips playing in it, which are Andhadhun and Drishyam 2 (replacing the Drishyam and Gangs of Wasseypur clips). The screen then pans through a building with a clip from O.M.G,: Oh My God! in it alongside a clip from Swades (which replaces the clip from Mary Kom). A building with clips from Kahaani and Queen (replacing Gabbar Is Back) on its sides is shown. The screen pans through a building playing Rang De Basanti (which takes the place of the Queen clip from the Viacom18 Studios logo), with a sign with the logo and poster for Madras Cafe visible, as the camera pans down to a busy street. Then, the camera pans through the side of a building with a clip from Toilet: Ek Prem Katha (replacing Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2), with a sign for Manjhi - The Mountain Man behind, and another film as the camera pans up to see a building with a clip from Tanu Weds Manu playing atop it. The screen then pans up as the camera becomes a birds-eye view of the city, and two black bars enclose the screen from the left and right, cutting off the pan. A glowing red streak then appears, drawing across a closeup of the dark blue letter "S", and a closeup of the "T" is then seen forming, which consists of three red, yellow, and light blue bars forming the arm of the "T", along with a close-up of the Star logo. The red streak then covers the screen, revealing the "R", as it completes to form the stacked text "STAR STUDIO", set in Inter Black, and the gray tagline "REDEFINING INDIAN CINEMA" below, separate Russian film, the logo played before the Fox International Productions logo by a red line. The streak then turns into a red rectangle resembling the Network18 logo, only longer, as the white number "18" flies next to "STUDIO". The camera then finishes zooming out.
Trivia: The letter "T" with three lines in red, green and blue pay homage to previous UTV Motion Pictures logo.
Variant: There exists a short version.
