1. Summer in Texas sucks, y'all. Today, for the ninth day in a row, the high temp was over 100. I don't know if it's old age setting in but every year, my tolerance (or maybe patience is the better word) for the heat gets smaller and smaller.

2. Just saw this article about the sad financial state of MGM studios -- I don't suppose that the Atlantis movie is really on their list of priorities right now. I pretty much resigned myself to that fact that Atlantis was done when it was canceled but I'm still not over it quite yet.

3. The greatest thing about Firefox is, IMHO, the Scrapbook add-on. I use it all the time, for everything - for saving receipts of online purchases, icon tutorials that I want to use later, various things about JoeF that I've stalked discovered through perfectly legal channels. Best of all, I can keep copies of some of my favorite stories that I can have access to, even if my internet connection goes kaput. Currently, I have these beauties close at hand for frequent rereading and inspiration --

“Rodney, let it go. If there’s one thing that I know, it’s how to relax.”
