Squeaky-Voiced Teen (SVT) is one of the few teenagers in Springfield and is perpetually trapped in a series of dead-end jobs. He has acne, bad posture and his voice is in the process of breaking. He makes his first appearance in "Brush with Greatness."
He is voiced by Dan Castellaneta.
Name
SVT's name is inconsistent throughout the series.
The opening scene of "Full Heart, Empty Pool" provides a view into SVT's domestic life, where his home and parents are shown. His name here is Andrew Teen.
In "The Day of the Jack-up", he works at the merchandise shop of Springfield's new concert venue Circulus. His name badge reads Andrew Freedman.
In "Beware My Cheating Bart", he works at the Brown Burrito at the food court at the Springfield Mall. His name tag reads Steve.
In "G.I. D'oh", bullies Jimbo, Dolph, and Kearney work at The Sole Provider at the Springfield Mall. They refer to SVT as Mr. Freedman.
In "Lisa vs. Malibu Stacy", Abe Simpson quits his job at Krusty Burger and addresses SVT as Mr. Peterson, as well as "Old Man Peterson" when Abe feels young enough to pull a prank.
In a deleted scene from "Sweet Seymour Skinner's Baadasssss Song", Principal Skinner called him Jeremy.[1]
In "Selma's Choice" (where he appears with blonde hair), he worked at Duff Gardens as an operator on "The Barrel Roll". His name was Mitch, and he had a supervisor (who is also a pimple-faced teenager with a breaking voice) named Jim.
Some other nicknames that he is called are Pimple-Faced Teen, Puberty Boy, Geeky Teenager and Teenage Clerk.
Jobs
He is often seen working in many low pay, low skill and low status jobs. While he's often seen working at fast-food restaurants, like Krusty Burger and Gulp 'n Blow, Squeaky-Voice Teen can also be seen working at the Springfield Googleplex Theater (where mainstream Hollywood movies are shown), The Aztec Theater (where B-movies and camp classics, such as the Space Invaders movies, Honk If You're Horny, Too Many Grandmas, The Itchy & Scratchy Movie, the Springfield Film Festival, The Rocky Horror Picture Show and Showgirls [the latter two of which are actual films that have gained followings as campy cult movies after being lambasted by mainstream audiences and critics], are shown); the Mom & Pop Hardware store, Barney's Bowlarama (where the gag that his mother is Lunchlady Doris, who disowns him for being unable to rent a lane to his own mother on League Night)[2], and Duff Gardens (where he went by the name "Mitch" and had a supervisor who was also a pimple-faced teenager with a breaking voice). He was also employed at Book Returns[3] and Moe's Express. A rudimentary version of the character was employed at the Springfield public access television station (see "Homer Badman" episode).
He was in a managerial position at a shoe store, employing Jimbo, Dolph, and Kearney.[4]
Furthermore, he worked at a Mexican restaurant called The Brown Burrito, in which he wore a name tag bearing the name Steve.[5]
Personal life
He once tried to commit suicide by jumping off a cliff, because FOX canceled Futurama (which did happen in real life around the time the episode aired, although the series had since been revived several times). He landed in a car, in which two teens were making out, crushing one of them. The attractive girl, shocked he crushed her boyfriend, assumed he must be awesomely good at love-making and immediately proceeded to make out with him.[6]
He was also in a relationship with Mom, an employee at the Mom & Pop Hardware store.[7]
When Lindsey Naegle once suggested they "kill every child... friendly thing in town", he lost his squeaky voice to "become a man".[8]
Family
In "Team Homer" it was previously hinted that his mother is Lunchlady Doris, who has disowned him.
His family is depicted in "Full Heart, Empty Pool", although it is unknown if this will remain canonical. His home, including his bedroom, his pet guinea pig, and his parents Mr. and Mrs. Teen are shown.
He also has an unseen Catholic aunt mentioned in the Simpsons Comics.

Behind the Laughter
On the DVD commentary track for "Boy-Scoutz 'n the Hood" Dan Castellaneta explained his voice for SVT was lifted from Walter Denton, a fictional character played by Dick Crenna on the TV sitcom Our Miss Brooks. Also on the same commentary track Simpsons creator Matt Groening said he was his 2nd favorite unnamed character after Comic Book Guy.
The Squeaky-Voiced Teen appears briefly on The Simpsons Ride, a theme park attraction in Universal Studios Hollywood and Orlando. He complains that the audience needs to keep quiet while he studies for a math test and aims to get a C.
