At Pershing Early Learning, we offer PreK screenings, family visiting program, early childhood special education, and many supports for families.
Learning Through Play
At Pershing Early Learning Program, much of the learning is accomplished through playing. Play is one of the most important ways in which young children gain essential knowledge and skills.

Pershing Early Learning Program is the only program in Decatur Public Schools dedicated entirely to ensuring our earliest learners are prepared for Kindergarten.

DPS is committed to enhancing educational success for our district through a comprehensive strategic planning and master facility plan. Beginning in October 2024, work to craft a road map that addresses the needs and aspirations of the Decatur school community will take place.
