Date: 2026-04-11 09:51 pm (UTC)2. I'm going to Shore Leave in July! This will be the first ever convention I've ever attended. Yes, David Hewlett will be there! (can you hear my squeal from there?)
3. If I had my way, I'd have all over you over for coffee, tea, beverage of choice and we'd sit around my kitchen table and just chat. I watched every bit of the Artemus II landing. My heart had to see every moment until the astronauts were safely on the ship. (sort of surprised me too)
4. I'm reading Ticket to Ride by ShippenStand. I don't usually read WIPs but this is a Hewligan and they're as scare as hens teeth. Not to mention, I love her stories.
5. I've been moving my living room furniture around. I've also been organizing my linen closet. Guess which was more frustrating.

1. I'm working on a Double Moss stitch pattern. Just finished a Waffle stitch pattern.
2. No. I'm all into the knitting fandom right now and it's rather solitary.
3. I want to talk about John Sheppard the clam and Rodney McKay the motormouth and how they go together like peanut butter and jelly.
4. I've been reading a lot in the Harry Potter fandom and watching NCIS Origins and High Potential. Yeah, not exactly high brow stuff but it's fun.
5. I have a new chore person who comes in on Tuesdays and Fridays and we tackle all the things I can't do on my own, which is a lot. She's really fun. My old chore person still comes by to see me, even though she had to retire. Friends, stopping by! You all could do that too! :D

Date: 2026-04-12 11:26 pm (UTC)I worked on a small little story today. First time in four weeks. When I posted to AO3, I was so excited. It's the first time in years that I wasn't able to write in four weeks. Now, I feel much better.
What have you been watching or reading?
I started watching a new series on Netflix called Big Mistakes. Dan Levy is in it and I love him. I binge watched the whole darn thing. The next thing I've been watching is a new series on Hulu called RJ Decker. I just love this show. He's so cute and it has many places it can go, so that's nice. Check it out, it's worth it. I also was watching Will Trent on Hulu and it's so good, along with High Potential. It's on Hulu also.
I've been reading about some of the terrible things that happened to our Native American people after years of mistreatment. I had to stop for a while, because it was upsetting me too badly. I'm going to read some m/m slash fic tonight and that should help. LOL

Date: 2026-04-15 09:31 pm (UTC)I guess I consider Ticket to Ride a continuation of the Romancing McShep challenge. I'd love to hype the John/Carson I wrote for SGA Secret Santa Trust Fall - How it really is.
I have three WIPs going, but only working on one (Ticket). Of the other two, one has at one point 4 McKays and is a sprawling post-canon plotty thing I'm currently stuck on, and the other is a continuation of the my Vegas stories, set as Rodney and John arrive to Atlantis.
Been really enjoying Wonder Man, rewatching Babylon 5, and reading The Lodger as part of my drive to sprinkle in classic stories among the fanfic. And fanfic. I'm reading Wolfbird and treating it as original because I've not watched or read Heated Rivalry. Totally works. (It's a WIP, so I'm prepared for a cliffhanger)
Work. Work. Work.
