1. Watched the entire first season of Downton Abbey.
(7 episodes, so admittedly not quite the same time commitment that watching the entire first season of Man from UNCLE would have been, but still pretty impressive when compared to my usual rate of television watching.)
2. Booked flight to Canada on the 16th of January; return to Scotland on July 19th.
3. Found a job in Canada. I start on January 17th. (Three cheers for nepotism.)
4. Made Panforte.
5. Packed 4 boxes of books for shipping and arranged for FedEx to come collect.
Still to do:
1. Read the Man from UNCLE holiday exchange stories and the yuletide Nero Wolfe stories.
2. Sort all my clothes and get rid of everything that a) doesn't fit or b) I never wear.
3. Drink all the whisky since I can't take it with me.
4. Notify the Council that I'm leaving the country.

I won't say anything about the MFU stories, you go ahead and read ;) You already found one of the few good ones (I think that one has to be written by epicycles) There has been a suggestion that the stories be discussed at del floria's after the big reveal. That ought to go well.
