"Everything Burns" is a song introduced in Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail. It acts as the boss theme for the 
AAC Heavyweight M4 raid as part of The Arcadion raid series.[1][2] It is composed by Tyler Smyth and Tom Morello, guitarist of Rage Against the Machine, Audioslave, and Prophets of Rage. The lyrics are written by Caleb Shomo, lead vocalist of Beartooth.[3] The song is performed by guitarist Morello and Beartooth with Shomo as the vocalist.
The song was first teased during the Letter from the Producer Live XC. It was officially released on December 17, 2025.
The lyrics can be interpreted to be from the point of view of the Warrior of Light, as they face the President of the Arcadion in his form as Lindwurm.

Music video
Tom Morello and Beartooth published a music video about the song on December 17th, 2025. In the video, Morello and Caleb Shomo are in red-lit tunnel structure, with Morello playing guitar and Shomo singing. As the video progresses, it shows clips of the Arcadion fighters in the background. At the end of the video, a wall in the structure explodes and burns.
Behind the scenes
Final Fantasy XIV composer Masayoshi Soken is a huge fan of Rage Against the Machine, and Jason Charles Miller told Tom Morello about it and how Soken wanted to collaborate. Morello subseqeuntly contacted Tyler Smith, and together they brought in Caleb Shomo to help compose the song. Once complete, Morello would email the composition to Soken without prior contact, leaving the musician shocked and star-struck that one of his music idols had made him a song.
